Northcote - Studio apartment in garden setting

This light-filled self-contained studio is ideal for a single person or couple looking for comfortable accommodation in a quiet garden setting. We are located in a lovely tree-lined street, very close to public transport and just a stone's throw to all the offerings of eclectic High Street. The studio is in our back garden, yet is completely private. You will have your own access to the studio down the side path of our house. The studio is fully self contained with a small but functional kitchen with a fridge, microwave, sink, single induction cooktop, toaster and electric kettle. The bathroom consists of a shower, vanity and toilet. The bedroom/living area is a comfortable 20 sq metres. There is loads of natural light, and the overhead windows catch the winter sun. The double bed has a new, inner-Spring King Coil mattress, recommended by Choice Magazine. A newly installed reverse cycle air conditioner guarantees a cool space in the summer months and warmth in the depths of winter. A smart TV means you can enjoy watching Netflix using your own account. A washing machine is available for guests' use. Northcote is a fantastic inner city suburb with lots of character. It has an exciting strip-shopping area in High Street dotted with bars, coffee shops and eateries. Our area is just a five minute walk to High Street, close to Westgarth Village and Northcote Hill. We are only three minutes walk from North Fitzroy and the Merri Creek which hosts the Merri Creek bike trail, meandering around the adjoining suburbs and then connecting to the Yarra Trail and on to the city. The studio is really well located for public transport. We are just a minute's walk from a tram into the city and 5 minutes walk to Merri Train Station. There are also bus routes very close by. You are welcome to borrow a bike or two if you want to cycle around the area. There are some fabulous off road bike tracks near by and it's an easy 25 minute ride into the CBD. We have a small fluffy dog, Miso, getting on in years now. He is friendly, but can be kept out of your way if that’s your preference. Guests will have access to everything in the studio. We will supply sheets, towels, soap, shampoo, tea and coffee. A washing machine for your use is available in the area outside the main house (cold wash only). Laundry detergent supplied. We are a couple who live in the main house. We are happy to help out with local knowledge and suggestions of places to visit.
