Mount Pilatus At Your Feet!

Neuenkirch lies smack in the middle of Switzerland. We are based just outside the village and enjoy a gorgeous view of mountains, lush fields and cows. Pure Swissness! The picturesque town of Lucerne is 15 minutes away and you can drive to Interlaken, Bern, Zürich or Basel within an hour. You can get to Engelberg with its spectacular Mount Titlis in 45 minutes, not to mention a number of other major attractions. We are happy to point you in the right direction, should you need any help! There are only 2 appartments in this house, so you will have plenty of peace and quiet. There is a big balcony where you can enjoy the sunset looking out at Mount Pilatus and Mount Titlis. Very often the cows are even close enough for you to hear them munching on fresh green grass. If you like, you can have a barbeque, a cheese fondu or a raclette, the appartment is fully equipped for you to self cater in true Swiss style. Or you are welcome to cook up your own choice of gourmet meal. There are all sorts of grocery stores within a few minutes drive. Halal meat is available from a butcher in Emmen which is just 10 minutes away. We also love children! If needed we can provide you with a cot, high chair and safety gate. We can easily accomodate a family of 5 with the option of 2 extra beds, if required. There is plenty of free parking, quite a rarity in Switzerland! If you don't drive, there is a bus stop within 10 minutes walk. For a fee we can offer plenty of additional services from washing and ironing to personally tailored guided tours (even up a montain on foot, if you are up for it!). We also welcome pets, as long as they are house trained and will not shred the furniture. We speak fluent, English, Swiss German, High German and Tagalog (Philippines). If in need, I might be able to scrape some French together. In our house there are only 2 appartments. The entire top floor with its big balcony is yours! There is one flat below where a family member lives. So the house is quiet and you have complete privacy. We live directly next door and will be happy to welcome you, show you around your accomodation and then leave you in peace. Of course, we are always available for questions and any advice you might wish for. So basically, we are there if you need us and not if you don't. In Lucerne there are a number of wonderful cafés, restaurants, the famous KKL centre, the Museum of Transport, not to mention the spectacular Lake Lucerne, Mount Titlis and Mount Pilatus. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to scenic outings and dining! If you need help on deciding where to go, give us a shout! You have your own private parking spot directly next to the entrance of the house. If you prefer to travel by public transport, there is a bus stop within 7 or 8 minutes walking distance. We are happy to pick you up from or drop you off at the bus stop, as you might feel tired from a day of sight-seeing. The bus goes directly to Lucerne and back and takes around 20 minutes. You have a private parking space directly next to the entrance.
