Soto House is located in the most charming beach village on a quiet dead-end street with no traffic on the hill of Hiriketiya overlooking the Indian ocean. This home away from home is a bright and beautiful house exuding warmth, comfort and serenity. With its 2 king bedrooms and 1 queen bedroom the private residency is perfect for families or a group of friends travelling together. Hiriketiya - Rolling sapphire waves, headlands of palm trees and free spirited holiday makers soaking up more than their share of Vitamin D. Soto House is nestled in the palm trees on the right hill of the bay. Featuring 2 King bedrooms, 1 Queen bedroom and 2 bathrooms the house sleeps up to 6 adults. The open plan living dining and kitchen area is bright and spacious. The main living room is a spacious and light flooded place to relax and unwind. The well-equipped kitchen includes gas stove, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and an array of cooking equipment and utensils for the avid home cook! Should you opt to eat out, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance and we also provide recommendations for every restaurant in town or greater area. There are two bathrooms, one is in the house equipped with hot water and the other accessible from outside, cold-water only. The lounge on the terrace is ideal to escape the heat of the day, relax and unwind. And at night, when the sky is clear, it is a perfect place for stargazing, and sometimes the fireflies visit us too. Guests will have access to the entire property. No amenities are shared. We are both nearby but won't be on the property. Feel free to contact us with any questions! The care taker Kumudu is there before, during and after each visit. While staying at the Soto House you may see a slew of wildlife. There are many peacocks, monitor lizards, monkeys in the surrounding palm trees as well all kinds of beautiful song birds and fireflies making an orchestra of gentle sounds that will guarantee a deep sleep. Peckish? Take a wander through the neighbouring towns market which holds a huge selection of fresh, yummy foods from vegetables, fruits, pastries and salads to seafood straight from the Indian ocean. There are a few things to do in and around Hiriketiya, we are happy to share our secret spots with you. You get around Hiriketiya well by foot and there are always threewheeler/tuk-tuk's available to explore neighbouring beaches and villages or to go shopping. If you would like to be more independent and want to rent a scooter during your stay, we are happy to organise that for you. There is free wifi throughout the house.
