THE DOME WAIKINO - Privacy in nature
An ideal place to unwind, private, secluded but not far from towns, cafes, and a pub close by for convenience. A private, fully insulated, high-quality wooden chalet with a fully equipped bathroom just outside. Hot water, toiletries, amenities and towels. Free parking & Wifi. Surrounded by hills, animals, birds and native bush just 2 hours out of Auckland, close to the Karangahake Gorge and nearby towns of Waihi, Paeroa and Waihi Beach. Alpacas, goats, dogs and a cat on the property. Amazing views, privacy and a nice bathroom - your own little space indoors and outdoors. Fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, heating, free parking, garden area and BBQ facility upon request. Towels, hairdryer, first aid kit, board games and books. The chalet has its own private garden area. Alpaca visiting if weather permits. Please avoid the forest as it has protected native flora and fauna and can be very steep, slippery and potentially dangerous. Guests must meet one or more requirements to stay in this property: Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination, a recent valid negative coronavirus PCR test, or recent proof of coronavirus recovery. I like to meet my guests but privacy is assured. My phone is always on if they need assistance in any way. Quiet country side, surrounded by forest, mountains, rivers. Perfect to relax after a day of activities in the Karangahake Gorge. Beautiful night skies, peace and quiet. Falls Retreat restaurant just down the road and Waikino Hotel nearby Best way to get around is by car or motorbike. Being rural, the GPS tends to lead you past the main entrance. Look out for the sign on your left that says THE DOME. The long, gravel driveway leading to the chalet is a little steep at the end. Non-4x4 cars need to make sure they keep their speed up as they ascend and head to the right at the fork as the road ascends to the chalet. Smoking is allowed but not in the buildings. The dogs and cat roam freely during the day (dogs in at night), so it might be best to keep the doors/windows closed when absent and not leave any food around outside. On hot days, leave the front push window open for ventilation. Your belongings will be safe. WIFI is free but limited so please use the lowest quality streaming settings on your device.
