Perched on a hilltop, very close to Parapara beach(5 min walk away). Purpose built 17 year old cedar clad holiday home consists of 2 bedrooms on the upper floor, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom, and sun-drenched lounge with wrap around deck. On the lower level, a third room has a sofa-bed and its own toilet and hand basin, with internal access from the garage. Minimum 5 day stay Stunning views of the lagoon and surrounding hills to the west and seashore to the east, and north to Farewell Spit. Can be windy at times. We live in Motueka where you can pick up the keys on your way to Golden Bay. We will give you information about the cottage and how to reach there by car. It takes roughly an hour and twenty minutes to get to Parapara via Takaka from Motueka. We will keep in contact by phone in case of any quieries. Parapara has a wonderful safe swimming beach. It is 3 kms from The Mussle Inn and near attractions such as Farewell Spit Tours, cafe's, and a shop all based in Collingwood, 10 mins away. Takaka is a friendly and interresting village with a market most Saturdays. It also has a Salmon Farm where you can fish and take home your catch. Liger Bay and the Able Tasman Park are easy to get to from Takaka. Golden Bay has stunning beaches, ,well known Artists and Potters, galleries and artisan shops , many different walks, water falls and even caves all accessed by car as there is no public transport in the Bay.
