The bliss of a BBQ under the trees sipping wine and relaxing all adds to the ambience of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. The apartment is set for 2 persons, and 2 additional on self inflating airbed mattresses. Everything provided. We provide 2 bicycles, male and female, but as safety head wear is quite personal we suggest you bring your own. We have a pool table and cues for those odd times when the weather outside isn't so appealing. When chilling out is just sitting watching a movie, We have equipped the apartment with a sophisticated 5.1 surround sound 'movie theatre' tv system. We include English satellite TV, French terrestrial TV. Netflix, Amazon prime and Discovery+. To the rear we have a splash pool. To the front a BBQ with table and chairs on a wooden deck looking out onto the Pyrenees. You can sit and watch the big hunting birds for hours soaring on the warm air thermals along with Red squirrels and rabbits plus the odd monkjack deer family. All in all everything to provide the R&R most sought after. Imagine sitting outside in the warm evening, around the table enjoying good food, sipping warm red wine. Bliss. Private door to the apartment, rear garden (splash pool), front garden decking with table, chairs and BBQ. N.B. A standard staircase is available if using a circular presents a problem. This facility is by request as it is part of our private accommodation. We are happy to collect you from either, Carcassonne or Toulouse airports if flying in for a holiday. All we ask is the cost of the fuel. We welcome you with a choice of white or red wine plus a few local delicacies to start you off along with local guides of activities for the young and not so young. The lady of the house has been a professional chef. For a negotiated fee she will cook and provide cookery lessons. The gentleman is a professional IT expert employed by Apple. Assistance with Apple related issues can be made available at a negotiated fee. Depending on your preferences we have something local for everyone. Walking is totally safe with so many routes to choose from. Cycle routes abound. Some easy and others quite challenging. We are situated approximately midway between Lavaur and Revel (North to South 16Km either direction), Toulouse and Castres (East to West. 47Km and 34Km respectively). So. Albi is 1 hour by car. Carcassonne 75minutes. Cordes-sur-Ciel 75 minutes. Oradour-sur Glane is a day trip. Rocamadour is a day trip. Andorra is a day trip by car (under 3 hours), enjoy tax free shopping. The Med is a couple of hours if you have the need to dip your toes. The Milau viaduct is also just a day trip. The village baker is superb and there's a convenience store. Traditional French fruit and veg markets are Lavaur (Wednesday and Saturday), and Revel (Saturday), Puylauren (Wednesday). The Bastide market at Revel is a sight to be seen. Bigger supermarkets are Lavaur, Revel and Castres and of course hypermarkets are Toulouse. Whilst bicycles will suit once here, for those longer journeys a car is essential. No car and want to go further a field, the route National N126 is just down the hill and there's a regular bus service. If you want a local tour or to go to a specific destination, we are willing to accompany for the cost of the fuel and lunch. We are on-site and available;le 24/7 for any incidents needing our assistance. Should a medical situation arise, the nearest hospital, Castres Accident & Emergency is less than 30 minutes away and offers superb services.
