Magnificent villa in hill-top wine village

The property comprises two separate houses (Romeo and Juliet) facing one another across a private enclosed courtyard, and can sleep up to 10 people in four double and one twin bedroom at a rental of 3000 euros per week. The property is in a medieval hill-top village but is entirely private and not overlooked. It has fantastic views as far as 100 km. The entire property was renovated to a high standard recently and uses the original stone, wood, tile and iron materials. It is furnished and decorated with art works and antiques. Use of three terraces so you can have shade or sun as you like. There is a large table under the shaded pergola that can seat up to 10, so eating outside is easy We can be contacted at any time. Antonella in the village looks after the property for us and is available as needed. The village is surrounded by vineyards, fields in the valley growing vegetables, and others planted with nut trees and poplars (for the wood). The area has many ancient hill-top villages. Best to have a car but there are buses and trains from Acqui. It's under an hour to drive to the coast. Nearest airport is Genoa (Ryanair and BA fly from London) or Turin or Milan (about an hour and a half's drive). The local wines are extremely good - and very good value too. For example you can buy a bottle of excellent Gavi or a local Barbera for about 4/5 euros, The food in the markets is exceptionally fresh and very cheap. There are many bars and restaurants around for eating out. The historic spa town of Acqui Terme with all you need is just 12 minutes drive.
