Cottage & countryside views with private pool.

Lovely Sunny cottage with French windows onto a large terrace. Light & airy with tile or laminate floors and lovely views down the valley. We are close to St-Jean de Cole, Thiviers and Brantome, with UK TV, WiFi, all facilities and a nearby 10 meter pool which is only for our guests. A delightful cottage with UK satellite TV and WiFi situated in the French countryside and yet only 3km from Thivers and St-Jean de Cole. A peaceful little haven to relax and unwind. Very bright and cool with tiled or laminated floors. Large French windows with an electric shutter lead onto the back terrace with lovely views of the valley, a delightful spot for breakfast or dinner at Sunset. Nearby there are lakes with sandy beaches for swimming and canoeing. There are also some lovely countryside walks through the surrounding forest areas. The cottage has its own private back terrace and side terrace with outdoor chairs, a table and tilting umbrella. The private pool is opened at the end of May (weather permitting) During the hot Summer days it can easily reach a lovely swimming temperature of 26 - 28 degrees. There is a bistro table & chairs near the cottage entrance that overlook the pool. There are extra chairs and Sun loungers and cushions for both. The kitchen is fully fitted and has most everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Outside there is a new Barbecue available and in the pool room there is an Eco-bubble washing machine, iron, ironing board and a clothes airer for your pool towels etc. The bed linen will all be fresh and clean on your arrival as will towels for both bedrooms. We live in the main house and are happy to advise or assist in any way we can, anything you cannot find or if you have forgotten something we can probably help out. The back and side terraces of the cottage are completely private for breakfast or a Bar-B-Que. Thiviers is only 3km away and has numerous small shops and 4 main supermarkets. We are only 3km from Thiviers with it's lively Saturday market, local shops and Supermarkets. Most all amenities can be found here while bigger towns like Perigueux, Limoges and Angouleme are within easy driving distance. There are nearby bathing lakes with sandy beaches and canoeing. Several rivers run across this region and there are many shaded forest walks all around the area. Thiviers has a mainline railway station which can take you to Angouleme, for Paris, or to Bordeaux in the South. From the larger stations you can reach anywhere in France. Limoges airport is under an hour away and has regular services to the UK as well as car hire. Bergerac airport also has these facilities and is about 90 minutes away. There is a beautiful tree providing shading on the terrace for Lunch, but in the afternoons it can become very hot. The French windows have an electric shutter which allows the breezes through while keeping the Sun at bay. Only UK TV at this time, but there is a DVD player with some French films in the cottage. UK films are available at no charge, please let us know if you would like to borrow one.
