For a real getaway from it all experience, this property is in a peaceful countryside setting enabling space to breath fresh air and recharge your batteries. We understand that sometimes peace, tranquility are time all on your own without seeing anyone else is all that is required so we respect privacy and time to ones self, however we offer a warm welcome and a chat if you fancy that too. The Barrell shaped wooden structure is set within a beautiful, private garden area surrounded by trees with a ‘DutchTub Love Seat’ 2 person, hot pink wood fired outdoor bath (some photos will still show our old wooden tub) which makes it the perfect getaway to unwind and relax, soaking away any tension or stress under the stars. The wooden hut comes with a private ‘Glamping’ shower room with basin, loo and gas hot water shower. The Barrel comes with a comfortable super king size bed and use of a microwave combo oven, fridge, kettle, toaster plus a BBQ Hut to prepare your own vegetarian BBQ food. We also supply shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and towels. The Barrell has wifi but please be aware we are in the countryside so speeds are sometimes slower. There is a tv for all the usual channels. FOOD BROUGHT IN WE RESPECTFULLY ASK THAT ONLY OUR FUEL BE USED FOR THE HOT TUB AND PIZZA OVEN TO ENSURE NO DAMGE IS INCURRED TO EITHER. ABSOLUTELY NO FIRE LIGHTERS OR BBQ FUEL TO BE USED OTHERWISE A CHARGE WILL BE MADE. NO MEAT TO BE STORED OR COOKED, THERE WILL BE A £50 DEEP CLEAN FEE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. The Barrell comes with a parking space and is set within a secluded, private, tree lined garden and has self check in facilities with a key safe pin code. We have beautiful countryside walks next door to us and our own private paddock to sit and relax in, we can even prepare you a delicious picnic at a small charge to enjoy sitting by our stream. Our family home is only minutes drive to the train station where you can easily travel to London and Brighton or a 25 minute drive to Gatwick Airport. The local shops in Billingshurst are only a few minutes drive, where you can find a Sainsburys supermarket and many local shops plus a couple of pubs for a bite to eat. For a lovely day out the town of Horsham is nearby, only a 10 minute drive away where you will find a good selection of the larger stores and a large variety of restaurants to suit everyone. We are near to many National Trust properties such as, Nymans Gardens (20 minute drive) which is one of the Trusts premier gardens and Every day there are guided walks and talks in the garden and woods, a small gallery in the house with changing exhibitions for every season, a secondhand bookshop, shop tastings and mobility tours of the garden and woods. For children there are natural play trails, geocaching in the garden and woods, school holiday trails and much more. Petworth Park (15 minute drive) A stately mansion nestled in the South Downs housing the finest art collection in the care of the National Trust. We are also near to Hickstead International Show Ground and Ardingly Show Ground and Petworth Polo Grounds which host many wonderful events throughout the year. For families there is Fishers Farm only 7 miles away which was officially announced this year as one of the ‘Best Farm Attractions in the UK’, it offers a great family day out with Animals, Rides, Theatre Shows and more all year round. Jakes taxis can be pre-booked to travel to Retreat at Kettlesbridge Farm, we can provide the telephone number or book taxis for you. Trains to London and Brighton are easily available. We offer a delicious, home cooked vegetarian breakfast delivered to your door between 7.30 - 9.00am. You also have a coffee machine and selection of teas in your room. Please tell me of any food allergies or intolerance at time of booking and I will do my best to provide what you need. HOT TUB - one nights fuel free of charge £10 per night thereafter. The tub takes around 2/3 hours to heat depending on weather conditions and will need periodical attention throughout the heating process. We can also start the tub ahead of your arrival, please mention at time of booking. Please no jumping in and do not put anything other than wood in the fire. Please do not touch the chimney or wood burner it is extremely hot. The water is used at at your own risk. Hot Tub use is from 9am to midnight and we respectfully ask that you come in and out of your rooms with consideration for other people staying and living here as this is a family home We are a vegetarian home and would kindly ask guests respect this, if meat is brought into the property or cooked there will be a £50 deep clean charge. There will be a £50 charge for a deep clean if you choose to do this, thank you. During the winter months the glamping shower room may be closed due to freezing pipes, there is an another private shower/loo that can be used nearer the main house.
