Bunk House at River Rock Gardens & Cottages

The Bunkhouse is one of three separate cottages at River Rock Gardens. The main room has two adult sized bunk beds, that are built like train berths, with curtains for privacy. They have reading lights and a removable headboard that allows for 8 more inches of sleeping space. The bedroom has a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower. There is a half bath just out the door between the bunks. There are wildlife/security cameras on the property. Sorry, no pets. Pool is closed September - May. The Bunkhouse is located at the rear of a large garage. One large room houses the two bunkbeds, fireplace, TV, and mini kitchen. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker and toaster. It does NOT have a cook top or oven. We are not allowed to have those per building codes. There is a charcoal BBQ just outside the door. Please note that we are not set up for major full on cooking! The separate bedroom has a toilet room, shower and sink and we have added a half bath in the attached garage just out the door between the bunk beds. The fireplace is ONLY used when we have power outages, so it is not available for guests. There is an excellent heating unit in the room. The bunkbeds have had the upper bunks decommissioned as too many people have rough housed on them and broke the ladders. We can provide 4" foam sleeping pads if you bring a sleeping bag for one more person. Guests have the use of the large main room and the bedroom, and can store items in the attached garage. There is plenty of off street parking for large vehicles and boats. We are happy to help direct our guests to local activities, events, attractions. Just let us know what you are interested in. There are three hybrid wolf-dogs that live across the river and can be heard howling off and on during the day. Their owners are very considerate about keeping them quiet at night as their howling carries a long ways! We have four orange male cats who roam freely during the day. Roy has a major heart defect and so wants a lot of loving! He will show up in your car, your cottage and often leaping onto your chest! Just wave them off if you do not want cats near you. WE DO NOT RENT TO SMOKERS (pot or cigarettes) as the odor remains on clothing and then lingers in the rooms after they leave, which is not fair to the next guests. Plus, I cannot tolerate the odor. If you are a smoker, please do not ask to stay here. There is fishing from our river bank if you have a current license. We are not fishermen, so suggest you check the web page for Herb or Pat at the Trinity Fly Shop in Lewiston for any kind of fishing information.
