Cosy house, terrace and yard in south France

You can spend some marvellous days in this typical village in the Languedoc area near by Carcassonne (airport R-air). Our house is situated in a preserved village, with a small courtyard, palm-trees and wine and a terrace on the first floor, without regards. There are 3 levels : the entrance with the bathroom, and the cellar with the access to the garden/court. The first floor, a beautiful space with an American kitchen, the dining corner and the salon. You can reach the terrace from here and have breakfast outside in the morning sun, without wind and regards. The 2nd floor presents 3 sleeping rooms : one big with a marvellous view and two small ones, one with a 2-persons-bed and one single bed. There is a baby bed and chair and a protection for the staircase if you need. The small courtyard is fresh in hot season and nice in the afternoon, under the wine and the palm trees. You rent the complete house, there is only a cupboard not available in the big sleeping room. We will be happy to help you when you have any questions during your stay; we will indicate you neighbours who will give you informations about the surroundings and the house itself. There is a grocery in the village with a post office, a little market on friday morning with a butcher, and fresh vegetables. Many artists giving the village a special touch. This village is a witness from the industrial importance in the 19th century. The water is very smooth and many factories washed the wool and the cotton. In the 17th century there was an important weaving activity to produce the sheet of king Louis XIV. Around the village is pure nature : discover the small paths over the hills, to see the Pyrenees mountains and the wine yards. If you take a ride, visit the Cathar castles, some lakes to swim, beautiful markets. Cities like Carcassonne, Revel, Toulouse, Albi (museum of Toulouse Lautrec) and the mountains and the meditarian sea are reachable in a radius of 25 - 70km. You will find a great richness between the dry Corbieres and the green sides of the Montagne Noires, between the seaside and the beautiful walks in the mountains. There is few public transport, so if you arrive with the plane, rent a car... Wifi connection in the house. You have an acces to telephone on the second floor, garden side.
