Small cosy house in FOIX

In a quiet environment , this house / villa of 60 m² (about 645 ft²), has 1 room . It is equipped with a living room of 60 m² (about 645 ft²), with a terrace and with a parking lot. Grocery store at 2 min walking distance. Town centre and swimming pool (recent) at 10 minutes walk. Pleasant town by bike ( 2 bikes at your disposal ). House renovated with natural materials: wood, plaster and sand. Warm colours. Very clean. The accommodation is entirely at your disposal except for my room. I am available for any information or problem during the stay. Members of my family can assist me if I am absent. In addition, a notebook giving details on "everything you need to know" is available at home. The river Ariège flows close to the house ( 10 - 15 min walk ). There is a recently laid out park (la bouichère) where you can go for walks, picnics, running,... A shuttle bus goes by the house to the city centre or the supermarkets. Numerous cultural events throughout the year (especially in summer) in Foix and the surrounding area. Examples: Documentary film festival "Résistances", jazz festival, traditional dance and music festival "tradestiu", street arts festival ( Ax-les-Thermes ), storytelling festival, puppet festival ( Mirepoix ), local arts festival "vagabond'arts", etc.... Very big market on Friday morning in Foix and the other days in surrounding villages. Lots of proposals for sports and mountain activities in the surroundings of Foix. (rivers, torrents, Montbel lake, canoeing/kayaking on the Ariège river, ... Many hikes are possible in a wonderful mountain landscape. The Ariège is a high place of Prehistory (park of prehistory in Tarascon), cave of Niaux,... The castle of Foix is unique and its interactive visit will allow you to spend an extraordinary day in the heart of the history of the Cathar country. A breathtaking sound and light show is also proposed and allows you to plunge the time of an evening in the history of this fascinating country. I have put together some "brochures" in a binder and a tourist office in the centre of Foix can provide further information. There is also a small monthly newspaper "la bougeotte" which lists all the events scheduled.
