Located within close proximity to the Nicolet National Forest, Old World Charm B&B's serene, tranquil setting is ideal for romantic getaways, wedding venues, fishing trips, outdoor activities and so much more! Thank you for your understanding... This historical home makes the perfect setting for our B&B. The original owners, the Christiansens, built this home in 1922. They were prominent figures within the community, owning and operating a lumber mill in Phelps for many years, the family successfully ran the business from this historical home. This home is furnished with many of the original antiques from eras past. The atmosphere will have you stepping back in time. You will find ample space in this home to sit down and read a good book, leisurely watch a movie or drink tea on the front porch while viewing the lake and watching the wildlife. The formal dining room will be the stage for a delicious homemade breakfast provided formally on Saturday and Sunday mornings with a continental breakfast provided during the week!The second floor guest suites allow for spectacular views of the lake, sunsets and wildlife through the large picture windows while the first floor double-room suite offers views of the flower pond and lake. If outdoor activities are what you are interested in, the opportunities are endless as the B&B is located directly on North Twin Lake, with 600’ of beautiful shoreline to enjoy! Great fishing experiences or the allure of a leisure boat ride around the lake may be what you are looking for or if a history buff, enjoy a historical walking tour of the town and visit the Phelps Historical Museum to get a feel for what the atmosphere was like decades ago. Come to relax, recharge and have fun! We would love the opportunity to share this historic home with you! Two entrances at the ends of the horseshoe driveway allow for easy in and out of vehicles and trailers. The nearly 4 acres of property and 600’ of shoreline access to the lake allow for plenty of space to move about! We are respectful of your need for space but can also be available for friendly conversation! Phelps Historical museum is located within walking distance, ATV trails near by, snowmobile access right out our front door allowing for a fun-filled and convenient experience! Eagle River is a short jaunt away allowing for convenient shopping and dining out! Driving your vehicle is the best way to get to the surrounding towns and tour the area! You could spend the whole day or just a few hours touring the area and surrounding communities while stopping for breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the many dining facilities around!
