A well appointed traditional cottage set in its own grounds. Completely private and not overlooked. Located up a private drive with parking for 5+ cars. Ideal for sunbathing as it is south east facing, so gets the sun in the garden all day. Fully equipped kitchen. Dining room, living room with oak flooring, beamed ceilings and large screen TV. Garden furniture, BBQ area and sun terrace patio outside. Located in an un-overlooked plot on its own, surrounded by trees and fields, this extended cottage was originally built in 1850. The kitchen is hand built with real wood cabinets, granite worktops and tiled floor with underfloor heating as part of the central heating system. All the usual conveniences to make this a home from home. The living room incorporates a dining table big enough to seat 6 people with ease, 2 large sofas and an easy chair facing the fireplace and tv and oak flooring throughout. There is also a study downstairs with writing desk, 2 seat sofa, patio door leading outside and a connecting door leading to the ground floor shower room. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has en suite facilities with a large walk in shower and wood flooring. the bed can be made up as either a king size double or twin single beds.The upstairs bathroom has a full sized bath. Bedroom 2 has a kingsize double and bedroom 3 has a regular double bed. The garden is all to the front of the house and is lawn and flowerbeds all leading down to a small river at the bottom of the garden. For this reason small children would need to be supervised if playing in the garden. There are 2 patio areas. One at the bottom of the garden by the river and one near the house over the garage. This space in particular is a lovely area to relax as it gets the late afternoon /evening sun. The gravel turning space and car park in front of the house is large enough for several cars and is for the sole use of guests. The garage contains outside furniture which is free to be used by guests and also the washing machine and tumble dryer. We usually live nearby so can be on hand to give tips on where to go and where best to eat out if you are new to the area. Situated in a quiet rural hamlet this is the idea place to relax in peace and quiet. The surrounding area benefits from numerous bridleways and footpaths weaving through the lanes and fields. Ideal if you like walking and bird spotting.The Bissoe cycle trail is less than a mile away linking the North and south coasts by cycle track on what was once a mining railway line. There you can hire bicycles and a cafe provides refreshments. The village has a pub which serves home cooked food and local ales and it is within walking distance. There’s an organic farm shop a short walk away, selling local produce. Quarry Cottage is situated in a rural area, so public transport is not plentiful. However, a local bus departs every hour and visits Truro ( the capital city) and other towns en route. You can pick up the branch line to Falmouth 2 miles away.
