We are offering special rates for those who would like to stay for a month or longer. Please just contact us for more information. cottage is a charming detached cottage in the centre of Tetbury overlooking the church and Tetbury old town, It is just a minutes walk away from the town centre and all that Tetbury has two offer. The cottage can sleep up to 7 people. There is off-road parking for two cars and there is Wi-Fi.there is also a beautiful garden with a sunny The Cottage is a charming, detached and recently restored cottage overlooking Tetbury Church and Tetbury Old Town and is just minutes walk to the Town Centre and all the facilities Tetbury has to offer. The larger of the two double bedrooms is a family room with double and single beds and there is a sofa-bed in the sitting room. Up to seven people can sleep at the cottage but it would be more luxurious and spacious for four/five. There is off road parking for two cars. The cottage is equipped to a high standard with a recently fitted kitchen/breakfast room, utility room and a downstairs loo. The sitting room is a generous size and is extremely comfortable and homely. The bathroom is also recently fitted with bath and separate shower. The garden is laid to lawn with decking at the end of the garden to enjoy the beautiful views of Tetbury. The cottage facilities include: Fully equipped Kitchen/Breakfast Room with Dishwasher, Washing/Drying Machine, Oven, Microwave and Refrigerator. There is also a Travel Cot, Linen and Towels are provided, TV, DVD player and Stereo with a selection of CD's and DVD's, Iron and Ironing Facilities, Complimentary Guest WiFi, Garden with Garden Furniture and Barbecue. The Cottage can be let for weekends as it is ideal accommodation for wedding venues in the area. We are a short walk to The Great Tythe Barn, Tetbury and a short drive to Chavenage House, Westonbirt, Calcot Manor, The Matara Centre and Kingscote Barn (minimum stay is 2 nights). Turnpike Cottage is also perfect as an extended holiday base for guests who wish to tour The Cotswolds and the surrounding areas (e.g. Bath, Bristol and The Forest of Dean). There is a No Smoking and No Pets Policy in place at Turnpike Cottage, thank you. We can interact with guests as much or as little as you like. We live just up the road from the cottage and have lived in Tetbury for over 20 years so we are more than happy to help with local knowledge. However we do have guests who prefer their privacy and the cottage is perfectly setup for this having its own entrance and driveway and being detached. Tetbury is a beautiful Cotswold town, it has many boutique shops and cosy Cotswold Pub. It also has award-winning restaurants and is a beautiful town to stroll around and enjoy the Cotswolds country atmosphere. Tetbury is world-renowned for its unique Royal associations. Highgrove, home of HRH The Prince of Wales is situated just outside Tetbury, and Gatcombe Park, home of the Princess Royal is also nearby. Neighbouring Chalford houses the impressive Nether Lypiatt House, until recently the residence of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. You may spot a number of celebrities in Tetbury as they live in the village or very close by in neighbouring villages. The royal family are often cited at the village as our Liz Hurley, Kate Winslet, Kate moss, Damien Hirst and of course the Royal family. There are regular buses and trains which run through Tetbury and Tetbury can be easily reached from London if you're arriving from overseas. We want you to make the most of your stay. There is also a fine vaulted roof to the nave - Abbey House Gardens - Ian & Barbara Pollard aka The Naked Gardenersbought Abbey House in 1994 to make it their home for their family of three children and in the autumn of 1996 decided to create a garden that might attract visitors from around the world to the historic town of Malmesbury. - Painswick - This historic wool town known as ‘The Queen of the Cotswolds', is one of the finest and best-preserved Cotswolds settlements, nestling quietly in the hills and surrounded by some of Gloucestershire's most delightful countryside - Gloucester Ghost Walks - Come with us on a spooky journey through the dark narrow alleys of Gloucester and prepare to be terrified by the tales of the City's haunted past. We live just up the road from the cottage and have lived in Tetbury for over 20 years so we are more than happy to help with local knowledge. Please note that this property is managed by us and is owned by a lovely lady by the name of Elizabeth who you will meet and who will help you settle in. Please note that we do not allow dogs due to a bad experience with a previous guest. Please no smoking inside the house and no noise pollution after 11pm.
