Discover the peace & tranquility of La Salle
Beautifully restored 18th century stone ‘longere’ converted into three spacious, comfortable gites. Set in 3 acres of tranquil grounds, amongst farmland and woods close to the River Vilaine, this charming stone barn has been professionally renovated to provide three attractive family gites, ideally suited to couples and families seeking the tranquility of Brittany’s beautiful countryside whilst having the benefit of the stunning coastline only a car ride away. The gites may be rented separately but are also ideal for a larger group of friends or family wanting to holiday together whilst retaining their individual privacy and seclusion. The nearby village of Avessac, which is approximately 1 mile away, provides a convenient pickup for any items you may need during your stay. There is a pharmacy, two bakeries, a small supermarket, a tabac, a post office, and bar and historic church dating back to the 11th century. A short drive away is the beautiful historic town of Redon, which has been awarded the accolade of ‘Ville Fleurie’ (Flower Town) due to the abundance of flower troughs and baskets that adorn the town during the summer months. On the outskirts of the town you will find two hypermarkets and a retail shopping centre and every Monday there is a market with stalls galore selling local produce as well as household goods, clothes etc. The nearest beaches are located at Penestin where there is a vast expanse of sand and safebathing with fascinating rock pools to explore at low tide. Just 30 kilometers away, the elegant resort of La Baule has a Mediterranean feel and boasts a magnificent promenade and long, beautiful sandy beach. There is a local lake for swimming and recreation just 10 minutes by car and for golf lovers the 18 hole championship course at Chateau La Bretesche is just half an hour's drive.
