LOCH NESS VILLAGE COTTAGE FOR 2

Traditional cottage for a couple in the centre of the village of Drumnadrochit. 3 restaurants & shop nearby. Parking and wifi available, and a small garden. This comfortable, cosy cottage is an ideal base to explore the area. We accept dogs here. The Wee Cottage is a typical highland cottage - two up two down - that is two rooms upstairs and two down. With a feature stone wall and wood burning stove in the surprisingly spacious kitchen/diner and a cosy sitting room. As in most of these cottages there are sloping ceilings upstairs, and the doors are a little shorter than normal. You will probably bang your head but you soon get used to it! The cottage is compact but therefore cosy and in a great location in the centre of the village right next door to Fiddlers Restaurant and Malt Whisky Bar (March-Oct) Parking right outside if you have a car and on the bus route if you don't. Although on the main road through Drumnadrochit it sits at 90 degrees to the road with no windows overlooking the road. We offer free Wifi and allow dogs, subject to the usual pet rules and there is a small enclosed grassed area separate from the cottage with a table and chairs. We sometimes have specified arrival days but can more flexible sometimes, especially for stays of 5 days or more........just ask and we can see what we can do! The whole cottage, private parking and the small enclosed grassed area that is the garden. The cottage is left open with the keys inside for your arrival. That way you can arrive at your leisure with no worries about time limit. We live in the village and are usually close by if you need us. You will find a full guide to how the cottage works on the kitchen table and a list of some of our favourite places nearby and some further afield. A rough guide to your arrival time is useful and we may pop our heads in to say hello if we see you there. A quick message to let us know you have arrived safely is useful so we don't worry about you being lost! Drumnadrochit and The Wee Cottage is within walking distance of Loch Ness and Nessie hunting. Urquhart Castle is close by and there are many walks right on the doorstep. You can reach most places that you will want to visit, ie Skye & The Cairngorms just to mention two within an hour to an hour and a half, as we are right on the A82 and have access to the A9 and The North and South at Inverness only 20 minutes(ish) away. Locally we have a couple of restaurants within walking distance and The Benleva pub is just along the road. Inverness is around 20 minutes(ish) away and Inverness Airport is around a 40-50 minute drive. The cottage is on the A82 and the bus stop is just along the road from the cottage. The cottage is cosy all year round with Oil Central Heating and a log burning stove. We provide your first basket of logs and some kindling. You can buy more locally.
