Use this base to explore the Aveiro region, Porto or Coimbra or to rest for a few days in a pleasant country house. If you identify with this concept, here we are! In 1913 my grandfather built this farm, composed of main house and several outbuildings. It has been restored according to traditional techniques and materials and is located in the rural area of Aveiro. By car, you'll arrive at the Oporto airport in about an hour, at Aveiro beaches in half an hour, to the train station in 5 minutes and to the city center in 10 minutes. The house has various outdoor areas that you are welcome to visit and get to know: the porch, yard, patio, etc. Inside, guests only have access to the bedroom floor. I live in the house, so interaction will be frequent. This is the perfect place to base your travels to Porto , Coimbra, Aveiro beaches and other points of the Aveiro region, and I will be very pleased to give you some clues about that. If you like horseback riding or if you are interested in sea sports, such as surfing, paddle, kite surfing, etc., we are happy to provide you with experiences with friends who live nearby, by prior arrangement. We are very close to the Ria de Aveiro (5 minutes), on one of the rural fringes of the city and close to the "PASSADIÇOS" (cicleway), which provides good walks and bike rides. It is a quiet place, served by a bus line to the centre and the University (line 1) but, for those who do not use a car, our bikes - which we lend free of charge - are also a good alternative for around walks. Do not expect a central location! We are 5 km away from the center, in an old quiet village where you can rest withtout trafic problems. The house is close to an important knot of the A25, for those arriving by car. For those who use the train, there are municipal buses from Aveiro station or also taxis. This is the ideal place to serve as a base for tours to Coimbra, Serras da Freita and Caramulo and, of course, the entire Ria and Region of Aveiro. At home, we have two dogs and 3 cats. For this reason we prefer not to accept more pets, to avoid conflicts. Please, do not smoke inside the house! Only on the outdoors, in the balcony, garden or patio.
