The Garden Room - in peaceful rural location

You’ll love this place because of the location. Based in the heart of rural Somerset just outside the historic town of Somerton, once the ancient Capital of Wessex, the accommodation is set in a rural and peaceful area. This property is situated within our 2 acre garden site, where we live and also run a small antiques and garden reclamation centre known as Tinhouse Home and Garden Antiques. The Garden Room is a timber frame building built in 2004. The accommodation is a large light and airy open plan room with separate kitchen area and shower room. It is heated by a wood burning stove and modern electrical heaters. It has a private yard area and we have a large garden and paddock which is available for your use. The Garden Room is located across the yard from our house and there is ample parking available. Access into the accommodation is along the veranda of the building. There is an enclosed private yard space for your own use. As we live on site please feel free to ask us about any thing you may need to know about. We can advise on good places to visit and which local pubs and restaurants are the best etc. Our location is approximately 1 mile from Somerton which is a delightful small town with pubs, cafes and local shops. Somerton was once the ancient Capital of Wessex and has a market square and a market on the 1st Friday of the month. There is a magnificent old church and market cross (The Buttercross). Within a few miles are the Somerset Levels which are a haven for birds and wildlife and there are many interesting old houses and National Trust properties to visit. We are just a few miles from Glastonbury and Wells and Clarks retail shopping outlet at Street is close by. You will need your own transport to get around as we are quite rurally located.
