Appartement 24, newly renovated, Caunes-Minervois

Situated within a lovely Maison de Maitre, the apartment entrance is via the kitchen, which has an oven, microwave and dishwasher. The spacious bedroom can be configured for 1 queen size or 2 single beds. The sitting room has french doors out to a private seating area and access to the rest of the garden. The apartment is accessible from the rest of the house when needed, however the internal doors will be locked to ensure your privacy. You have a separate entrance via the garage, which is also a great space to store bikes. There are parking spaces outside and all shops and cafes etc. are within a short walking distance. The garden is fully enclosed and we share the space, however there is a pretty area just outside the apartment door providing you with some privacy. The garden has sunny and shady areas, so is a nice place to chill in the hot summer months. I have 2 Spanish Water Dogs who love to say hallo but are not allowed into your garden space. We are a few doors down from the boulangerie, pharmacy, florists, hairdressers, restaurant, pizzeria and the local cafe - all of which are open all year long. There is a fruit and veg market three times a week which has wonderful seasonal produce and is a short walk away. The Abbey has jazz concerts each month and in the summer weeks there always seems to be a Fete in one village or another. I deliberately bought a house in the middle of the village so I would get to know people, and having shops and restaurants on my doorstep is great. The downside is that we do get some noise from the road, at least until the double glazing arrives next year! So, I think the apartment is best suited for active people who are coming to the area to walk or to cycle and would like a nice space to relax in after a fun days activities.
