The Manoir at Rigal farm in 100 acres of paradise
Rigal Manoir, featured in Country Homes and Interiors magazine, is a beautifully restored 17th century Manor house with modern conveniences situated at the heart of an authentic 100 acre organic farm. We warmly welcome you each morning to help feed the animals, to search for eggs, cuddle the rabbits and stroke the ponies. Close to restaurants, markets, castles, honey stoned medieval towns, golf course and minutes from the Dordogne river famed for its watersports and stunning natural beauty. We have been approved by Tots to travel and have a lot of equipment from stair-gates to buggies from cots to changing mats and spare sheets so that you don't have to fill your car/suitcases with baby or toddler paraphanalia. There are lots of toys, including a wooden kitchen for little ones and a rocking horse ( for not so little ones) just ask if there is anything specific that you may need, we probably have it. The Manoir has 3 private terraces overlooking the 100 acre estate so you can always be in the sun or shade as required We come to feed our animals every morning you are welcome to join us. We will enthusiastically share our experiences and recommendations with you, book restaurants or make reservations for you and be on hand to sort out any problems or questions you may have. We also visit in the late evening to put some of the animals to bed We have a 360 degree tree-lined horizon, there are fabulous walks straight from the front door on quiet paths through the forests or on country lanes. Ideal also for cycling and for orchid and wild flower spotting. Only 5 minute drive from the local boulangerie. We have maps of local walks available, a car is advised to get out and about to visit the nearest supermarket ( 10 minutes away) and of course to visit the local area, if you can tear yourself away Full Central Heating is available if required at additional cost .
