You'll have the run of the whole 2500 sq ft house, including lower level suite with office space, wet bar, reading/meeting lounge, laundry and full bath. Two upper level private bedrooms with queen beds, full bath, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and large sunken living room with gas fireplace, vaulted ceilings and 4K UHD TV with Dolby Atmos surround sound. Spectacular views of the lake, large upper and lower decks, gorgeous gardens, lakefront gazebo, private beach, dock and paddleboat. Or take a bike ride in one of the area’s beautiful parks. Lake County’s huge Independence Grove Forest Preserve is only 15 minutes away and offers bike and walking trails, swimming and a beach, a playground with climbing “fortress” and accessible swings, an event center, boat rental and fishing, bird-watching and more. The hugely popular Ravinia venue, offering all kinds of outdoor entertainment during the summer—from classical to contemporary music, pop and rock, comedy and more—is less than a 30-minute ride from the house. Great America is only 15 minutes away. The house manual is full of useful information, including transportation options and links to popular restaurants and entertainment venues. To help you plan your stay, you will receive a number of these informational links upon confirmation of your reservation. While we are not a "party house," our decks and lower level are perfect for SMALL celebrations (12 or fewer guests). There is a $100 "party fee" and $500 extra security deposit for this. ANY celebrations must be approved by your host, and are at your own risk and responsibility. Extra cleanup is $30/hr. and damages will be taken out of your security deposit. No loud noise after 10 p.m.--any complaints from neighbors will result in your being asked to leave with no refund. DO NOT ALLOW GUESTS TO USE THE PADDLEBOAT.
