The cottages are located in one of the most prestigious streets in the area, surrounded by stunning early eighteenth century architecture, with two houses boasting blue plaques. There is no through traffic making the street very quiet. The cottage is within a short walking distance of St. Margaret's for local shops, restaurants, pubs, Twickenham film studios and station, with trains to London Waterloo and a ten minute walk to Richmond which has great shops, theatres, cinemas, riverside restaurants and bars, as well as the underground and trains to Central London, Ascot, Windsor and Eton. Bus shop within a few yards of the cottage with numerous buses to Richmond, Twickenham, Kew, Heathrow and Hampton Court. Ferry service across the Thames during the summer months to Ham House, Petersham Polo Ground and Richmond Park or walk along the tow-path to both Richmond and Twickenham.
