A beautiful hut set on a Cornish working farm

Our hut is set in a field on our working farm, it is off grid so heating comes from a tiny wood burner and soft lights set the scene inside and out. You have your own compost toilet. Cooking is on a bbq next to your hut. There is also a fire pit so you can toast your marshmallows while you star gaze. We are pet friendly so your favourite friends are welcome to stay with you here on the farm. Wake up and have a leisurely breakfast before deciding how to spent the rest of your day. We love it if you would like to take a look around the farm, just ask and farmer Jon will gladly show you around. We keep about 180 cattle on the farm so there are nearly always young calves to see, as well as the cows and our lovely bull Buster. We have young stock in some fields over the summer months so we do keep these areas closed off. But don't worry there is still plenty of space to wander. We do try to be available all the time that you stay with us but there may be the odd occasion when the cattle need a little more attention than usual so we could be further afield on the farm, but we can be easily contacted and will always do our best to offer you whatever help or information that you might need. Our farm is set on the beautiful rugged north Cornwall coast. We are about a mile from the lovely beach and tiny fishing harbour of Portreath. If you love to walk or cycle then the old tram line runs close to our farm and takes you down the valley to the village. We are about 20 minutes drive from the small cathedral city of Truro with its wonderful selection of shops and restaurants. If you want to venture further afield then the coastal path offers fantastic views of the Atlantic ocean. Driving or public transport, (the bus stops is about a 15 minute walk away), can take you to the many great places we have to offer in this part of the country, from National Trust properties, the domes at Eden, cider farms and ice-cream farms, to quiet almost hidden coves and beaches just waiting to be found and explored. We have plenty of maps and information books that you are welcome to borrow during your stay.
