Light & Bright Historic Huguenot Studio

The space is a beautiful 500 square foot artist's studio, complete with kitchenette, full bathroom, and huge windows overlooking private backyard. Located next to Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary and Rail Trail; short walk to historic museums and village center. Guests have full access to the back yard. The kitchen features an induction stovetop, a brava oven, a microwave, coffee maker, and half fridge. The kitchen has salt & pepper, olive oil, coffee, and a limited supply of other spices. If you plan to cook grocery shopping will be necessary. The backyard is also available to the guests which has a firepit & charcoal grill. There a several activities generally set up as well including a bocce ball set, a golf net with rubber balls, and a slackline The entire studio is open to the guests, during the warmer months the back yard and fire pit is also open to guests. We are available via the app. We do rent the main house as well so we are not always on the property but can troubleshoot any issues that arise. The village of New Paltz is an awesome little town with historic homes and tours just a quarter-mile walk from the studio. NYQUIST bird sanctuary is directly across the street and is a delightful nature walk. There are tons of fantastic restaurants in town including A Tavola, Fuschia Tiki, Mountain Brau House, and many others. New Paltz is light on public transportation but Uber, Lyft, & taxis are available. The easiest way to get to New Paltz from NYC is via the Trailways bus which leaves from Port Authority and is direct to the village. The bus station is a 10-minute walk to the studio or a $5 cab ride.
