☼ Cottage for big groups, nature is calling ♥

Cottage "ROVTARICA" - translated: "hillbilly woman" A true hillbilly woman she is. Living in the middle of apline-karst plateau, on a 1089 m of altitude, disconnected from telephone or internet connection, inviting you to come and reconnect with the surrounded nature and your loved ones underneath the starry sky. Evenings around the fireplace are magical and active days in the forest or surrounding hills are revitalizing. ♥ Welcome all living beings. ♥ Rovtarica takes up to 19 people. It is located 18 km away from the first village - Bohinjska Bistrica - where is also first market with food. This is 30 minute drive, with a couple of kilometers of a bumpy unpaved road. Bohinj and Bled lake are both accessible within 45 min car drive. Surrounding area is offering some interesting biking and hiking trails and the backyard is sometimes visited by deers, foxes.... or shepherds cows. :) Forest is full of edible mushrooms and berries. Suitable for closed groups, family vacation or also for team-building, workshops, seminars, events and celebrations, picnics... Big common place for evening fun and a wood burning stove in the kitchen, perfect for big group cooking. The high altitude on which the cottage is situated is perfect for hot summer days. The temperature is around 8 degrees Celsius lower, so bring some comfortable warm sweater. Water is drinkable from all pipes, and it comes from the nearby spring. That is the freshest you can get. :) Electricity runs on solar energy, with a backup diesel generator. Central heating and hot water is arranged on wood burning furnace in the basement or bricked oven in the common place. If you don't have experience with wood burning furnace, don't worry, we can show you, it is very simple! There is no public transportation going to the cottage. The cottage is accessible with a standard car, but is on the last part unpaved. Most of the autochthonous animals are present in the near forests of Jelovica, which can be seen with a little luck from the balcony or from the warmth of the cottage in the big clearing which spreads around it. Flora is also very diverse. ------------ If you will enjoy refreshing summer in our cottage, come back to see it in the winter! You can ski around the house! Usually there cross country skiing trails arranged, running close to the cottage. But for more adventurous, there is a ski-center Soriška planina 15 min drive away. With their toboganning slope, even little children will enjoy. :) You have the whole place for yourself, big two-floor cottage and even bigger area around to explore the nature. Top floor is reserved for sleeping, and first floor to do any activities, cooking, dancing, singing, whatever you come up with :) Any type of pets are also allowed, but unfortunately not in the beds. Equipment is basic. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, cups,.. Beds have only pillows and quilts. You can bring sleeping bags or your own bed lining. This could also be arranged by us, but only with beforehand notice and additional cost (4€ per bed lining). I am available for the directions and all the questions you might have. I can also help with any tips on what to do and where to go. Feel free to contact me any time! :) There is only one human neighbor next to the house and even he is not there often. Other neighbors could also be cows on pasture and a lot of smaller living beings who live close in the forests. :) The cottage is not accessible with public transportation! The road from Bohinjska Bistrica takes you up to the scenic ride in the woods, with the opening views over the Bohinj valley. After 15 minutes, the road splits from the main road over Soriška planina to an unpaved road for extra few kilometers. The nearest village, and market - is in Bohinjska Bistrica, which is 16 kilometers away. I suggest you buy your drinks and food before. Toilet paper is in the house. So is some basic spices in the kitchen. Parking is available for free around the house. We have beds, available for 19 people. The nightly price shown on the calendar is for 10 people. Every extra person pays additional 9€. Unfortunately here on Airbnb, it is not possible to choose more than 16 guests. Please indicate in your email after booking, if there is more than 16 guests. Extra guest fee for 17, 18 or 19 guests, will than be additionally requested to pay guest fee of 9€ per person, also via Airbnb. The only thing not included in the price is tourist tax and bed linens by choise. This is paid at the check-in. People over 18 years old: 2€/per day (24h) People from 7 to 18 years old: 1€/per day (24h) Children from 0 to 7 years old: free of charge.
