Casa Gwendoline - Friendly & Flexible Holiday Home

Spacious & friendly holiday home with River Minho views in the middle of a big, wild garden. We rent out the entire house - or at other times rooms are available for single travelers, couples and pilgrims on the Caminho Santiago da Costa. We can accommodate up to 12 visitors. Located in a mostly peaceful, rural surrounding, we are yet not far from the centre of Vila Nova de Cerveira, the Rio Minho and a wide range of activities. Casa Gwendoline is a very spacious house, nice and cool in the summer, with a big, natural garden, beautiful views and a good deal of privacy. You have your own entrance and the entire upper house (1st and 2nd floor), will be yours during your stay. You are very welcome to use the garden and the pick-nick- and barbecue area. We live in the appartment in the basement of the house and have our separate entrance. If Casa Gwendoline at times is not rented out to entire families / groups, it is also possible to rent single rooms. Please contact us for prices and availabilities. We are open to your preferences and appreciate our private space. We live in a rural neighbourhood of a lovely mixture of Portuguese and international people. A friendly haven on the Caminho Santiago, along gardens with home grown veggies, fields with sheep and vines... Portuguese rural flair with beautiful wide views over the river Minho. Only 1km down hill lies Vila Nova de Cerveira, a touristically well established little village - the village of the arts - with many attractions, events and holiday-options. The "friendship-bridge" leads directly from Cerveira over the river Minho toward Galicia, Spain. We have sufficient parking space for your car(s) within our fenced property. For public transport you find a train- and bus station in the centre of V.N. de Cerveira, 1km away. Closest airports are Vigo, Spain and Porto, Portugal. We have a two cast and two sociable dogs. If you would like to bring your pet, you are welcome! But please let us know ahead, so we can organize everything according to your and your pet's needs.
