La Colette- medieval,character home

Our home is 150m from the abbey and tourist info centre, and close to all main amenities, including the main town square. It is situated on a quiet street, yet allows for full exposure to French village life. Hiking and cycling paths abound and the canal du midi and Carcassonne are nearby. The house is comfortably furnished, well lit and has all the conveniences which makes it home away from home. Apart from the amenities already listed, there are 2 mountain bikes and car bike rack ready for use by guests. Caunes- Minervois is a character village with some 5 restaurants, 2 boulangeries, a general dealer with a butchery, a chemist, a florist and a bank. There is no need to have a car here as one can bike and use public transport to get around. The abbey is still functional and hosts concerts. The tourist information office is fully equipped to advise you about places of interest in and around the village. Yes, there is a regular bus service from Carcasonne some 19kms away, where there is an airport and train station Yes, this is the most undiscovered part of France in the Languedoc Rousillon wine region and close to Spain. It is special.
