A bushland farm retreat where you can re-energise

Olen Cabin is our fully equipped guest house, located in the 'back paddock' of our 100 acre property, overlooking lagoons, pasture and gum trees that line the property.  Olen contains one bedroom, one bathroom, a welcoming and light vibe, with fresh decor, chosen for comfort. Stock your fridge with your favourites to enjoy during your stay. It's a chill place that is deeply restorative. No wifi & very limited phone service. It's time to unplug and reconnect. We hope to welcome you soon. If you are after a quiet stay in a bushland retreat you have found your place. We provide all you need to cook your own meals plus the "necessities"; an assortment of teas, coffee and milk. If you would like us to organise a self catering breakfast pack, please request this. The charge is $40 for two people. The bedroom and living area is bathed in natural light that changes throughout the day. The bed linens were chosen specifically, made from luxe natural fibres. Expect cool nights and warm days in Spring and Autumn. If you want to turn up the snuggle factor, wrap yourself up in one of the throws provided. Local visitors include kookaburras, cockatoos, rosellas, king parrots, currawongs, and a range of water birds. At dawn and dusk it's common to see wallabys bouncing around and in spring, the little joeys trying to master the art of the jump. There is so much wildlife, the longer you sit still, the more you see and hear. If you are feeling slightly active, go for a meander around the lagoons, you can try fishing (although we never catch anything it's just relaxing), walk through the bush trails, do some yoga or have a go at the paddleboard on the dam. So what is there to do during your stay? Not much and that's what we encourage 100%. Some of our guests favourite things to do include reading with a cuppa inside on "ol' purple" (the most comfy reading chair), enjoying a local wine or Farmers Wife Gin on the deck, re-connecting through conversation over board games, seeing animals in any passing clouds or sitting around the firepit at night, listening to all the strange wildlife noises :)  Guests will have access to the cabin and surrounds. We are always working around the farm so we are not too far away if you need us. Just meander over to the farmhouse. We wont approach the cabin while you are staying, we are fans of privacy too :) Girvan is 15 mins away from Booral, 25 mins from Stroud and 15 mins from Buladelah. We are, basically, in the middle of nowhere and it's beautiful. We are surrounded by other farms and bush, the loudest thing you will hear is a cow, bird or tractor. You will need a car or motorbike to get to Meandering Farm, there is no public transport You will travel along a dirt road as well, its in fairly good condition, at times it has potholes and if there has been lots of rain, the road can get very slippery, so drive safely. You do not need a 4WD though. Please close all gates that you go through. There is livestock on the farm. If the weather has been wet, best to bring gumboots for easy exploring. While you are welcome to collect your own wood, we suggest you bring your own to make it super easy for yourself. You're meant to be relaxing remember!
