Cute, quirky & CLOSE TO THE COAST! This character cottage is located next door to Rhoscolyn’s iconic Methodist Chapel in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! Only a 15/20 walk away from The White Eagle Pub & Rhoscolyn Beach; 5/10 from the Anglesey Coastal Path. 10 min drive from Trearddur Bay. Inc. private garden area & parking. Bursting with seaside treasures & vintage touches, Ty Capel sleeps 5 but it’s perfect for couples too! Pets welcome for an extra fee*. *We welcome pets for an extra fee. If you’re only bringing 1 dog you must add this fee online by following the instructions. However, if you plan on bringing more than 1 dog you’ll need to pay an extra £15 per pet, per stay. This can be paid in cash while you’re here. Maximum 3 x medium sized dogs or x 2 large dogs. Please let us know if you plan on bringing your pets before your arrival. Many thanks. We've renovated and decorated Ty Capel as though it were our own home - so hope the love and attention to detail shows! Old-fashioned, but in a cute way - with a few quirky twists! Someone described it as very 'Famous Five-like'! Ty Capel (Chapel House) is a pretty sea-side inspired country cottage - and part of a charming Grade II listed property. It has gorgeous countryside & garden views, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, sitting room, private outdoor space & kitchen. IMPORTANT! Bedding & towels are provided - however, for the foreseeable future, we’ll be asking all our guests to strip the beds themselves - then to pop everything in the laundry bag provided before departing. Many thanks. IMPORTANT! Hand-soap, washing-up liquid, loo-roll, tea, coffee & sugar etc are all provided. However,p, for those staying longer you might need to bring extra supplies. Ordering an online supermarket delivery is not a problem. Please be aware that some tourist attractions, shops, pubs, restaurants & cafes may not be open or still have limited hours due to the effects of recent global events. If there’s something you particularly want to experience whilst in the area, we strongly suggest you research it and, wherever possible, book in advance. IMPORTANT! There’s a seating area outside the front door which is exclusively for our Ty Capel guests - as well a private garden area to the rear. Please be aware that we live on site - and that there may well be guests in our other on-site rental too - so every precaution needs to be taken in regards to keeping us all safe & apart. For example, children & pets must be under adult supervision at all times - and social distancing needs to be strictly adhered to in all the outdoor areas. If you’re a Covid denier or vaccine sceptic - we suggest you book elsewhere. You have your own entrance, and parking spaces (for 2 cars - ask first if you have more) - as well as a private garden area and seating just outside the front door too. We live next door in the adjoining property so are readily available if you want help with anything. We’re used to having people and pets about the place and will keep out of your way as much as possible. If you need us, either message using the Airbnb messaging portal - or ring the brass bell outside our front door. Our house is called Ysgoldy and it’s the next door along the alleyway from your own accommodation. We're usually also able to give lots of local recommendations - but please be aware that not everything has reopened to pre-pandemic levels - so please check ahead if there’s anything you’d particularly like to experience whilst in the area. Rhoscolyn is a beautiful seaside 'village' - with it's own gorgeous gasto-pub and 2 large beaches - but with lots of other little coves and bays as well. Very rural, but not far from the shops and amenities of nearby Trearddur Bay and Holyhead - which are about 10 - 15 mins away by car. Trearddur Bay is also only a 30 minute walk away. The Anglesey Coastal Path passes right through Rhoscolyn - and the coastal scenery is awe inspiring! Rhoscolyn is located in designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! Not only is the 'main beach' (Rhoscolyn/Borth Wen) an absolute delight, but Silver Bay (to the south) is even more secluded - and a treat to walk to - as is rocky Porth Saint to the north! With lots of other little coves to explore between the two - as well as on the way to nearby Trearddur Bay - kids, nature-lovers, adventurers, sporty-types, walkers - as well as romantics - will absolutely LOVE it here! Situated on Holy Island (just off the island of Anglesey), Rhoscolyn is a small scattered community - and the most southerly 'village' in the area. There are no shops, but this only adds to its loveliness! However, as well a there being lots of beaches, bays and headland walks on offer in the Rhoscolyn area - it also has an excellent pub (The White Eagle) - which is a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute walk (on the lane down to the beach) from Ty Cert. Renowned for its food, and with gorgeous sea-views from the decking area, they welcome both kids and dogs!! The main bay, owing to the sheltered position and large, gently sloping sands, makes an ideal place for sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, rock-pooling - and more - and is therefore a popular family (as well as romantic) destination throughout the year. Excellent headland and cliff-top walks can be enjoyed in both directions from the main beach, as well as through the beautiful local countryside - where an abundance of bird and wildlife can be seen - often including seals! The nearby resort of Trearddur Bay - situated a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minute walk away (depending on the route) is great for those after a little more bustle. Although it only takes 10 minutes to drive there - the walk, with its sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves - is the best way to arrive! Trearddur also has a number of beautiful beaches to enjoy, including Trearddur Bay itself - but also Porth Diana, Porth Castel, Porth-y-post, and Porth Dafarch! There are some small shops, as well as a choice of pubs & restaurants in Trearddur Bay - and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including: a leisure centre, supermarkets, harbour front, marina - and the world’s second longest breakwater! On Anglesey, water-sports including: swimming, sailing, surfing, kite-surfing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, canoeing, water-skiing, and windsurfing are the main attraction - as well as walking and horse riding. Plus, golfers will enjoy the excellent 18 hole golf course just outside of Trearddur. It's also a great place for nature lovers - with renowned bird-watching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve - as well as loads of other spots. We are located approximately a 15 - 20 minute DRIVE away from Holyhead train station & ferry port. There are numerous taxis available from Holyhead train station/ferry port; they congregate when trains are due in, so you'll rarely find it difficult to find one. It costs between £15 - £20 to get from Holyhead to Ty Capel, Rhoscolyn. The Number 23 'Goodsir bus' stops right outside our property 3 x a day: (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) . It passes various stops in Rhoscolyn, Four-mile-bridge, Trearddur and Holyhead - including Tesco and the train station/ferry port. You can also get to our place (Capel Ty'n Rhos) from various bus-stops in Holyhead - including from the train station/ferry port. Please check the online timetable for more information. We have a Septic Tank system; nothing other than poo, pee & paper down the loo! If it gets blocked because of you we'll charge you £100 for the hassle!!! Please don't leave your pets alone in the cottage - and please pick-up after them outside too! Please dispose of any dog-poo in the black bins - and make sure it's bagged-up beforehand! Please don't allow large-dogs upstairs - and keep all pets off the furniture! Bring your own dog-blankets to cover the sofas if you know this is going to be tricky! There's a stair-gate under the stairs if you need it - or just ask us to put it up for you. Please RECYCLE!!!! The boxes are usually to the front of the chapel - but if in doubt leave it in the kitchen for us to sort out before you leave! Don't leave the heating ON all day if you are going out! Put it back to 'timed' or turn it off. No smoking inside - and put all butts in the bin before you leave. Try to keep the noise down in the early mornings and late evenings! We often have other guests in our smaller property on site - so it's only fair to think of everyone's enjoyment. Thank you!
