Stylish private apartment in Suffolk village house

A stylish and supremely comfortable independent 2 storey apartment in this Victorian country house in the heart of the charming village of Grundisburgh. A light double bedroom with en-suite shower/toilet, downstairs a large sitting room (+ loo), with access to beautiful country garden. Enjoy a cosy stay in this sunny and well equipped separate space with adjacent pub, shop and parking. Breakfast is available upon request and one well behaved dog welcome. The Coach House consists of a charming fully renovated Suffolk country house with it’s connected yet exclusive 2 storey apartment annexe. Lovely touches like antique french linen and Welsh blankets adorn both rooms. Enter the apartment through your own separate garden entrance into your private ground floor sitting room. A bright, airy room with large windows and a big comfortable sofa and armchairs, a great space to relax with ample reading materials or use the flatscreen Smart TV. The upstairs bedroom is a beautiful large, light, airy room with vaulted ceiling with views out onto the cottage garden; overlooking a stream on one side and onto the village of Grundisburgh on the other. The bed is large and comfortable with beautifully laundered 100% cotton sheets. A compact modern shower room and toilet are en-suite. You have your own entrance and are totally separate but Julia can be on hand to answer your questions, and prepare breakfast if requested (additional fee). A kettle and a coffee maker are provided for tea and coffee; as well as a toaster, a mini fridge, glassware, plates and cutlery. One well behaved dog is welcome for a small fee - please ensure you book in advance. Guests have exclusive use of the apartment as well as access to part of the beautiful cottage garden outside the apartment. Guests may enjoy a garden breakfast in warmer months, or in the owner’s airy garden room on inclement days. Guests have use of our own off-street parking. For any other needs please do ask your welcoming host Julia who will be happy to answer your questions or offer guidance. We live in the attached house and will be available should you need any assistance but equally your apartment is totally separate, allowing you complete privacy should you want it. We have a friendly lurcher dog that will use part of the garden (see images). The house is situated in the middle of the charming village of Grundisburgh, just in front of a beautiful old flint church. On the other side of the house is “The Dog” a dog-friendly, welcoming pub serving wood fired pizzas, vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as pub classics and local ales. Perfect for an evening meal after a day exploring, that you can walk home from in less than a minute! Don’t worry about noise from the pub as the apartment is very quiet. There is also a shop directly opposite for any essentials you may need. The lovely town of Woodbridge is 4 miles away. The towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold are approximately half an hour’s drive away along with the delights of the beautiful Suffolk coast and Minsmere nature reserve. Wonderful walks in every direction. We are 20 minutes drive from Ipswich and 10 minutes drive from Woodbridge. A direct train service operates between London Liverpool Street and Ipswich typical journey of 65 minutes. This would make a perfect romantic hideaway for a couple, or stop off for a solo traveller looking to explore the local countryside and coastline.
