Charming converted Charantaise barn with pool

An old, converted barn, Chez Tournesol has plenty of character. Decorated in a vintage style, it has all the home comforts you need, free WIFI, a private barbeque area and use of the heated swimming pool and play areas. A wood burning stove makes for cosy winter breaks. The area is excellent for cycling and canoeing along the mighty Charents river. A further 1 bed and 3 bed house available offering the opportunity for a large group holiday. This beautiful old building has been brought back to life, retaining a quaint appeal yet has all the modern conveniences for a stress free holiday. The house has a well equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The living room provides a comfortable area in which to relax with both French and English TV, a variety of games, books and DVDs are available. The log burner ensures a cosy stay in the cooler months. The double bedroom provides a restful space and the family room has 3 single beds. A cot can be provided on request. All linens and towels are provided. The large pool, children's play area, petanque pitch and a variety of play equipment are available for guest's use. As we live on site, we are available to help with any questions or recommendations our guests may require We are friendly and helpful and enjoy ensuring our guests have an unforgettable holiday. Our local town of Civray (4.5kms away) has two excellent weekly markets, 2 very good bakers, bars, restaurants and a cinema, showing films in French and English. We are 10 minutes from Vallee des Singes, 45 minutes from the famous Futuroscope and close to the Val de Vienne circuit for motor sport enthusiasts. There are several lakes in the area for water sports and fishing. We are in a rural setting and although local shops and amenities are only a few minutes drive away, a car is needed to get around. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only. There is a maximum of two pets per gite. Please note that we have rules in place to ensure a happy and safe holiday for all. Dogs should not be left unattended in the gite for any length of time. Dogs need to be on a lead at ALL times in the shared areas and are not allowed in the pool area. We ask that you clean up after your dog and respect our home. A charge of €6 per day (€40 per week) will be applied by Airbnb to the booking after confirmation.
