Praze Piggery on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall

Beautiful barn within gorgeous wooded countryside located only a short walk to the beach and coastal path. Our visitors are attracted to the South West Coastal Path - Kennack Sands, Lizard Point and Cadgwith are all within walking distance. One well behaved dog welcome (Praze Piggery has its own garden). Friday to Friday bookings preferred but shorter or longer breaks also considered on request. If you are joining us to celebrate a special occasion home made cakes can be provided. Praze Piggery is a beautiful bright Barn built in 2020 which has its own garden. There is a small kitchen with an oven and a fridge (with a freezer box) and a lovely breakfast bar for indoor meals. Household items are supplied and we have lovely coastal Cornishware crockery. There is a large sofa bed in the living room and a double bed in the main bedroom and a lovely bright shower room. There is BT broadband, TV and a DVD player for your use and a selection of books, DVD’s and games to play. The private garden is a great place to relax and there is a comfortable table and chairs to sit at and enjoy a glass of wine. The garden also has a fire pit - ideal for a BBQ or for keeping warm in summer evenings. Plentiful supply of free wood but please bring charcoal / firefighters for BBQs. Outside drier - very useful for those swimmers and wetsuits... Many of our guests are keen cyclists and from April 2022 there will also be a lockable, communal bike shed available to store your bikes. Guests should feel free to explore our 4 acres of grounds. Parking is located a few metres walk from the property along a gravel pathway. As there is no washing machine provided we can assist with washing and drying clothes if necessary. (Payable during stay). Praze Piggery is near to our house and there is normally one of us around to answer any questions that our guests may have. Otherwise messaging through Airbnb works well. It’s only a 5-10 minute stroll to the coastal path and Carleon Cove and a 25 minute walk to the fishing harbour of Cadgwith Harbour with a great pub. Kennack sands with a great sandy beach is also within walking distance. A walk or short drive away is Kynance Cove and lizard point. Within half an hour’s drive you could visit Porthleven, Helston and Falmouth. It’s a great place for walking as it’s a stroll from the South West Coastal Path. Alternatively a car is very useful and there is plentiful parking here. There is a bus stop near the property with buses to Mullion and Helston. The nearest train stations are Redruth and Falmouth. Praze Piggery is located near to Praze Barn and both are in the grounds of our family home. Both Praze Piggery and Praze Barn have private gardens which do not overlook each other. Pets- one well behaved dog is allowed with permission. No excessive barking please (as we have other guests to consider). When guests leave Praze Piggery the dog must be with you or left in a crate (only for short periods). Guests must pick up after their dogs. Guests will be held responsible for any damage done by their pet. If you are joining us for a special occasion and would like a homemade cake on arrival please message me. Access to Praze Piggery is from 16:00 but please feel free to park up earlier and use our car park as a base to explore on foot. Due to changeover cleaning, checkout needs to be by 10.00, however again please feel free to leave your car with us in our car park for the day if you would like to spend your last day in the local area.
