Swiss Borzoi House - Cherry Tree Guest Room

The guest room is located in a private villa with a 2000m2 garden overlooking Lake Murten featuring a panoramic view on Swiss Alps and the plain of the River Broye, the 5m-outdoor-Swim-spa with its splendid view is heated throughout the year. 3 friendly Borzois are living on site. Good food and wine, hiking, biking and relaxing nature are available nearby. 1,5 h drive from Geneva, 2 h from Zürich, 30' from Berne, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, 45' from Lausanne. 15 min. downhill walk to the beach. The garden with its wide lawn, old trees and rhododendrons offers different places to rest, read, eat or have a drink while admiring the unique panoramic view on the Alps, the lake and the plain of the river Broye. It is a nice playground for pets and people. Hiking is possible from the gate overhill, straight into the fields and woods. The car is recommended for shopping and to visit many interesting nearby places like the Jura mountain area, the Pre-Alps, medieval Murten, Roman Avenches and many more. The garden with a shady eating area and Spa are shared. If I am not available personally, I answer calls and messages as quickly as possible to assist my guests. Bellerive is a small quiet village situated on the Vully hilltop above the lake Murten. The next shopping opportunity for food is 1,5 km downhill in Salavaux. Around the lake shore many excellent restaurants are to be found. In the late Roman Empire Avenches was the biggest northern town with 30000 inhabitants. It's arena is still an attractive place to visit. Guided tours are organised for tourists. Murten with its remparts offering a stunning view is a pittoresque medieval town on the lake shore, a lovely place to visit. Continental Breakfast is available for CHF 18.00/pers. with croissants, rolls, home made jam, local products like eggs, ham, cold meat, cheese, butter, fruit as available to have on your terrace or elsewhere in the garden.
