Pretty Detached Stone House in Rural Charente

Fully furnished property close to the town of Ruffec. Cottage style with large garden and courtyard with secure parking. Limoges and Poitiers airports equidistant to the property. Six and a half hours by car from Calais. Connections to Paris in little over two hours from Angouleme via the fast train TGV. Beautiful stone house with ample parking and outside space. Sample the local Cognac and the Pineau in the wonderful Charente, the second warmest region of France. Courtyard, garden and house Please text or email if you need anything. Small village location with epicerie, library and post office. Close to Ruffec which provides many supermarkets and other necessities. La Rochelle, Ile de Re, Bordeaux, Angoulême are all within 50 minutes to two hours away. We don’t currently have a pool but there is a man-made lake near Angouleme which is less than 50 minutes away, with water sports, inflatables and a man made beach. There are also plenty of rivers if you fancy kayaking, paddle boarding or just a dip in the Charente to cool down on a hot day! A car would be required however there are many lovely cycling routes from the property on the rural roads of the Charente with many Chateaus and villages with wonderful restaurants and brocantes to explore. We don’t have WiFi as our mobile phones have great signal at the property. The property is adjacent to the church so please be aware that the church bells will ring although the stone walls stop the bells from disturbing your sleep! There is an epicerie and a post office in the village. Please remember to order baguettes and croissants the day before you’d like to collect them.
