Native Bushland Artist’s Retreat, 3km from Moe
Previously owned by a local Artist. This residence, has double brick and cedar lined walls decorated with artwork from local artists. Cosy, with fireplace in living area, relaxing quiet area set on 5 acres of natural bushland near Lake Narracan. Opportunities to see native birdlife to wallabies. The room has a queen bed, is carpeted and has a private small ensuite, with shower over bathtub. There is access to outdoor private seating from the room. Cross ventilation or fans keep house cool. Access to galley kitchen available. Large table to eat at. You can walk in the bush. I have bees so this area is out of bounds for your safety. There are two small dams so children must be watched. There is a small area to play cricket, or bocce. No fires can be lit on this property during fire season. BBQ Available. Curfew for quietness in the area is 10pm. Through the front door. Please drive down the driveway to the right side & park to the right side of the house. Thank you. I am available to chat at times. There is lots to see in the area and I can help you with places to see. I am an Art Teacher in a Special School, so I can get pretty tired. I’ve been on plenty of school camps so I know most of Gippsland. I have been involved in local art and art communities so I know of art in the area. I speak fluent Italian. Its quite a friendly area. There’s some pub style meals at the RSL in town or Turfside. Generally bakeries and Heritage Park Cafe are open until 1-2pm on Sunday. Yarragon Warragul Traralgon Morwell all have variety of places to eat. Walhalla eating is limited, and depends what is open during the week but weekends should be fine. Entertainment in the Valley: Gig guides avail. Lots of walking hiking and gateway to the Baw Baw Alpine Region skiing tobogganing. Morwell National Park. I hr to Inverloch, 1.5 to Phillip island 1.5 to Wilson’s Prom. 1.5 to 90 mile Beach. 5 mins to Lake Naracan for swimming, picnic area, walking, water sports, jet skiing, wake boarding, speed boating, kayaking. Fishing 5000 rainbow trout dropped in in 2015. Blue rock dam 20mins fishing, picnic area, boating. Walhalla Ghost Town 50km away. Yarragon Village 20mins. Tara Bulga National Park, 30mins. V-line trains arrive and depart hourly from Melbourne and there is a Taxi rank over the railway tracks, near the modern new Library. Local town buses operate between Moe, Morwell & Traralgon. There may be some native animals like possums that come out at night and sometimes will make grunting noises.
