You'll get the whole top floor of this grand, late 1800's building! There's a huge lounge room, a spacious master bedroom, and a second bedroom with a study desk. Home-cooking is easy, with a fully-equipped kitchen and separate dining area. If you don't like cooking - St Kilda East is a great spot for dining out, and is only a short tram ride (or a pleasant walk) away from St Kilda proper - its beaches, Luna Park, entertainment and nightlife. Close to trams, trains, and a park. The top floor of a beautiful Victorian mansion, with 11ft ceilings, wooden floors and a matching decor. You also have access to two balconies to sit out on a warm night. The space suits 4-6 adults perfectly, but children are most welcome. Guests have access to the entire top floor - the entrance is separate from downstairs, ensuring your privacy. There is ample free onstreet car parking. We live downstairs, with our 7 year old. We recognise your need for privacy, so we are just a neighbour unless you have a need of something. St Kilda East is but a short tram hop away from the famous St Kilda Beach and Albert Park (think, first round of Formula 1 GP!). While the house is on a quiet residential street, 10 minutes one way takes you to Balaclava Rd, which is full of cafes, restaurants and boutiques; 10 minutes in another direction takes you to Chapel St with its bonanza of shops, restaurants, and clubs. For the quiet-minded, there's a wonderful park a block away, with BBQs and a massive kids playground. The Astor Theater (one of the last historic cinemas in Melbourne) is, also, just 10 minutes away. 5 minute walk from number 5 and 64 trams, running down Dandenong Rd; 10 minute walk from Windsor or Balaclava train stations. Since we live downstairs, we would appreciate noise being reduced to a minimum after 11pm and before 7am. Internet access: Internet in Australia is, generally, not great or fast. We are sharing our own wi-fi with you, and, as such, we have limitations on what is available. Therefore, we DO NOT permit streaming of video content, such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, etc over wi-fi. We do reserve the right to turn the wi-fi off if these rules are not complied with.
