Peaceful room with en suite and own front door!

A very comfortable, quiet bedroom/shower room independent from the main house with own entrance. Situated under a shady terrasse with seating area. Fridge, BBQ, free Wi-Fi and private off road parking. Price includes continental breakfast with home made preserves and honey from our own bees served in your room, under the terrasse or inside our home if the weather is cool. In addition to the 'Description' may I add the following: There is a large attractive garden to sit or wander around. Have an evening drink by our wildlife pond, watch the dragon flies and listen to the frogs croaking. If you are interested in bee keeping, then we can give you a look inside one of our beehives. There are lots of lovely walks around the area. We are situated alongside a designated footpath and mountain bike route - this doesn’t detract from the peace and tranquillity however! Nearby is Lac des Graoussettes, the local plan d’eau (reservoir). The lake is lovely to walk around and is also is very good for coarse fishing (licence needed - we can arrange this). Take a wander up the chemin (like a bridleway) and see the local plum orchards and vines.The gentle rolling countryside is ideal for cyclists of all abilities - we can lend bikes to careful cyclists! In addition to the room, you are very welcome to sit on the terrasse, on the gravelled area in front of the house (where there is usually a table and chairs set up) and feel free to wander around the garden. Breakfast can be taken in your room, under the terrasse, 'en plein air' or if it's a bit chilly, in our salle a manger. There is a fridge and a BBQ provided so you can easily make yourself a meal. We leave you to be as independent as you wish to be. The room is lockable and no matter what time you come in or go out, you are totally independent. We leave you a terrasse light on when it gets dark. In general, we leave you to your own devices. We are around to prepare your breakfast then try to leave you in peace to eat it. If you need us for anything, don't hesitate to ask! Our house is surrounded by agriculture. Depending on the time of the year, we may be surrounded by sunflowers, maize, wheat or just grass. We have plum orchards and a few vines a short walk away. It really is a beautiful place to be - we love it! Whether you want a quiet stroll, energetic hike, bike ride or a drive round in your car, there is plenty to occupy your time in our area. We are, of course, more than happy to suggest places to go or things to do – just ask! We are situated up a short rural chemin (bridlepath) so you can walk straight out the door and go for long, short, in-between distance walks. The roads are so quiet it is very enjoyable to just have a wander around – we can provide local maps. Our local village, Lauzun (about 5km away) has a cafe bar, restaurant, bakery, butchers and a grocery store, along with the obligatory (in France) pharmacy and hairdressers! It is a lively village and hostsTables Gourmands (food market - choose what you want to eat, buy it and sit down at one of the tables in the middle of the street) every Saturday evening during the summer. There is a small market every Saturday morning too. This a very rural area therefore a car is a must. Please note that this is a non-smoking rental. And sorry, no pets please - we have a dog and three cats.
