Lydia's Lake Erie Cottage

You will experience what has been called a million dollar view the minute you walk into our Lake Erie cottage. It is not unusual to see a crane or eagle soar over the lake. Downtown Willoughby has a great selection of restaurants, and boutiques. Ohio's largest beach, Mentor Headlands is 20 minutes away and Fairport Harbor is another great beach. We are 30 minutes to Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Parking and keypad check in are available. Come enjoy beautiful Lake Erie!! The cottage is all on one floor with the exception of a second floor loft that has sleeping for two adults or children over the age of 12. The loft is comfortable for sleeping only, because of the low ceiling. The entire house, back patio and yard including fire pit. Unless you tell me otherwise, I will assume you prefer to check-in with the keypad. We live in the house on the west side of the cottage. The cottage is on a quiet neighborhood street. At the east end of the street is Osborne park which has a great walking path, public pool, tennis courts, and sports fields. From the cottage, you can walk to Charlottes for ice cream or JTs or Spot for breakfast. Downtown Willoughby is close by and has many great restaurants and boutiques. Chagrin River Diner, Pranzo and Sol are some of our favorites. Chagrin River Tavern in Eastlake is a waterfront restaurant where boats can be see as they travel to and from Lake Erie. We are very close to the route 2 and route 90 freeways The backyard between the cottage and Lake Erie is on a slightly descending hill to the water. There is no fence and no access to the water. Caution should be used at the property edge.” We have a monarch butterfly habitat on our cottage property.
