UPDATE - Greetings from Campbell and Laura! Very excited to have taken over from Annie at the farm. We're currently co-hosts on this listing and confirmed bookings will be honoured. New bookings can made on our new listing. We're nestled in the foothills of Victoria’s beautiful Strezlecki Ranges, on our own hill. Peaceful and private accommodation for groups of up to 40. We never mix groups here - you have the whole place to yourself for the duration of your stay. Primarily used as a Retreat venue, we host gatherings, workshops and retreats. 'Serenity' 'Absolutely peaceful' 'Has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world' 'The energy here is amazing' Not my words - these are quotes from retreat guests. A couple of acres of private garden and recreation spaces. Large saltwater swimming pool. Undercover BBQ area with open fire. Mongolian Yurt (sleeps 4), gypsy wagon (sleeps 4) and Swaggies Hut (sleeps 5) also available for separate hire. Commando course. Working farm with horses, sheep, cattle, goats, lots of chooks and two emus. You can visit unstocked farm paddocks unescorted, or all paddocks of the 40 acres of farm escorted (we insist on escorting you to paddocks with stock in them to reduce stress to the animals and to keep you safe). Wombats, echidnas, wallabies, rosellas, cockatoos, galahs, kookaburras, magpies, boobook owls, wedgetail eagles and king parrots are frequent visitors. A pair of blue-tongue lizards live in the compost heap. Absolutely available to help you with queries, walk around the farm with you, or join you for a drink around the BBQ. Absolutely happy to stay away from you and let you enjoy the space in privacy. We're within 2 hours of Melbourne, Phillip Island, with its famous Penguin Parade and other attractions, the Gippsland Lakes, Mt Baw Baw, various national parks, and the historic gold mining town of Walhalla is only an hour away. We're surrounded by pretty country towns with country town activities - markets, festivals, country shows, fresh produce, galleries and shopping. We're 10 minutes from the freeway to Melbourne or to Lakes Entrance and other eastern destinations. The people who come here tend to want to just stick around here and relax. That's absolutely fine with us. Heaps of parking available here. 10 minutes from the train station for access to/from Melbourne. Taxi services in nearest towns - Trafalgar and Moe. If hiring a car, rental from Melbourne would be your best option. There's supermarkets and food stores in the neighbouring towns (10 minutes away), and you can buy seasonal produce from our chemical-free gardens. Or ask us to cater for you (price ranges from $30-$60 per person per day). Annie is a competent 'country cook', not a chef, so it's homecooked meals you can expect to enjoy.
