Stylish city centre studio, excellently located

Our house is beautifullly situated right on the Singel, the medieval canal surrounding the old city centre of lovely Utrecht. The brand new studio is situated on the second floor with view on the canal. It is equipped with a private bathroom and a private kitchen. The double bed and sofa provide you with the necessary comfort. This attractive studio is very centrally located; just a 5 minutes walk to the city centre and public transport; only 5 minutes to Utrecht Central Station. Our house was build in 1877. It has lots of original details, with modern facilities. Your studio is on the topfloor (2nd), a comfortabel space with original details like the original Philibert-rafters. Our house is eco-friendly: we have solar panels, heath recovered showerwater, thermal insulation etc.. We have no city-gas connection, everything, except for the central heating, is electric, wich adds to your safety. The hallway, staircase and studio are freely accesible at all times. You will have your own key to the front door and a to the door of your studio. We will be happy to be of any assistance you might need. The neighbourhood is a picturesque, lively and nice place to be; within 5 minutes walking distance you have a park, many restaurants, the city theatre, a historic city centre, many shops, bars, cinema and musea. Amsterdam centre is, from our front door, only a 45 min. travel by public transport. Bus 4 & 55 from Central Station to bus stop Wittevrouwenbrug or Kleine Singel + 1 minute walk Bike: we have a bicycle at your disposal; if available you can borrow it free of charge, 150 Euros deposit. Car: Parking 'Grifthoek' is a 100m from our house, parking rates from 16,87 Euro /day to 182,84 Euros per month. From Schiphol Airport: Intercity train to 'Utrecht Centraal Station': 30 minutes To 'Uithof' University Utrecht or Medical Centre UMC: 5 minutes by bus, 10 by bycicle. We can provide one for you! The entresol where the bed is to be found is accesible by safe but steep stairs. We have a small cat, Mingus. He's very friendly and will mind his own business as cats do. Although he is rarely to be found near the studios you might meet him on the stairs occasionally. Receiving visitors by our guests (i.e. friends or relatives) in the studio is limited; on occasions you can entertain guests but only when previously announced and agreed upon. If agreed upon by us, you can a invite a friend or relative to stay over for a limited period - a small fee will be applied. Although measures are taken to make the studio as soundproof as possible, please take into account loud noise should be avoided at all time. Long stay rental > 2 weeks: your studio will be cleaned for you each week on friday afternoon, provided that the studio is in an orderly condition to be cleaned. Special rates for weekly cleaning are applied; 12,50 Euros per week. Bed linnen, towels etc. are at your disposal. A washing machine and a dryer are also available at request. Additional costs: Most costs are included in the rent: VAT, washing facilities, energy, internet, the use of a bicycle (if available) and the cleaning cost at the end of your stay. The additional costs will consist of the weekly cleaning (12,50 €) and the tourist tax (6% of the rent) which the city council unfortunatly also applies to longer stays without a touristical objective. These costs are to be paid monthly or at the end of your stay.
