Neet Retreat - exec one bed pad with outdoor space
Most definitely a grown up's place to kick back and relax, listen to the birds tweeting (not on social media, although wifi is available). A four poster for the romantics, and sun loungers on your private, enclosed deck in case you fall out. All the usual amenities which are too boring to mention here are available, including a dishwasher and for those that can't be bothered to cook, a microwave. Dog friendly (max 2) if your hound(s) won't escape and eat our chickens. Free eggs when available! Neet Retreat is a one bedroomed apartment with a Queen sized four poster bed, a large shower room, and open plan kitchen/diner/living room. Modern fixtures, fittings and furnishings. There is a sofa bed in the main room so additional guests can be accommodated. Underfloor heating and splendid views of the garden, and our 400 year old beech tree. There is plenty of car parking available on site, and even a private driveway to Neet Retreat if you don't want to use the main parking area. There are two pubs within three minutes walk of the apartment, one of which has a feature 'bistro' restaurant rather unimaginatively called...wait for it...'The Bistro'! There is a convenience store less that three minutes walk from the house. Morrisons and Lidl are four minutes away in a car. Bude is less than a thirty minute walk (two miles), but parking in the town centre is also plentiful. The beaches at Widemouth Bay, Crooklets and Summerleaze are eight minutes by car. If you need anything either text/call or just knock on the door at the side of Neet Meadow. Always happy to help. Stratton is just outside Bude, about eight minutes by car from several excellent beaches. Widemouth Bay is popular with surfers and has a year round dog walking area. Summerleaze Beach gives access to the Bude Sea Pool, allegedly the largest in Europe. Crooklets Beach on a low tide, apart from great surfing, provides 3km of walking on pristine sand with spectacular cliffs. Padstow, Newquay, Ilfracombe, Exeter, Barnstaple and Dartmoor are all within an hour's drive. We have two great pubs in Stratton, the Tree having a bistro with an excellent menu. Its about 75 metres from our driveway. There is also a corner shop and post office about three minutes walk away. Parking is available on site - there's quite a lot of it in fact. Parking in Bude is plentiful but does get busy in holiday season. Similarly the car parking at the main beaches. Access to the apartment is via a large, enclosed deck area which includes an outdoor table and chairs. During the summer months you will find sun loungers and a barbecue (although we can provide the barbecue during the colder months for those chefs who like to cook outdoors year round). There is an 'overflow' fridge and tumble dryer in a nearby outbuilding for Neet Retreat's guests exclusive use. Whilst the apartment is recommended for couples, a baby or young child accompanying its parents is welcome for no additional charge. For additional adult guests, the sofa in the lounge is a sofabed (please note that a fee is payable).
