The Casale “I Melograni” is a typical stone farmhouse located in the beautiful “Sabina” hills which stretch from the banks of the Tiber River to the Monti Sabini about 40 Km north of Rome. Il Casale “I Melograni” is a typical stone farmhouse located in the beautiful “Sabina” hills which stretch from the banks of the Tiber River to the Monti Sabini about 40 Km north of Rome. The location is close to the Romanesque Santuario of S. Maria di Vescovio (XII sec. A.C.). Description The farmhouse has lovely open country views of the surrounding hills. It is nestled in 2 hectares parkland including oak trees, fruit and olive trees and a small vineyard. The location is ideal to spend your time relaxing in a peaceful environment allowing you at the same time to visit the interesting towns close by as it is well connected to the A1 Highway. The house is at present separated into two individual properties. The first floor is private. Your Apartment located on the ground floor is independent. It measures 130 square meters and it incorporates a large archwayed living room, a large kitchen fully equipped with modern appliances, two bedrooms one with a fireplace and two bathrooms. Because of the thick stone walls there is no need of air conditioning. From the living room door you can exit to a porch overlooking the garden fitted with a table and a BBQ where you can cook your meals, ideal for outside living in the warmer months. There is also a swimming pool (8x4 meters - height 1.50) to relax in the sun during the summer. We live close to help in case of need but far enough not to disturb the guests! Surroundings Restaurants, supermarkets, chemists, post offices, banks, churches, car rentals and hairdressers are in the villages closeby. Fashion shopping can be done in the Ponzano Soratte Fashion Outlet by the A1. In summer time the guests can access the swimming pool (8x4 meters - height 1.50) I will welcome personally the guests on their arrival. The surroundings are very quiet and relaxing. You can visit many medieval villages such as Fara Sabina, Farfa, Abbazia di Vescovio. In less than 1 hour by car you can reach Viterbo, Rieti, Narni, Orvieto, Bomarzo and the lakes of Bolsena and Bracciano.
