With it's own access your private accommodation is a ground floor en-suite double room which can also cater as a Twin/2xDouble/Family room for up to 3 people using the additional and comfortable sofa bed. Your continental breakfast is conveniently kept fresh in your own fridge and your room is comfortably equipped for relaxation and dining facilities. Our family home is situated below the summit of CreagMhor in an idyllic garden surrounded by a rich variety of wildlife, fauna and the scenic splendour of Glen Urquhart and the Glen Affric hills. As our only guests you can expect your own privacy in a relaxed and friendly environment. There is ample car parking and your outside door will be left open for you when you arrive to check in and make yourself at home - the key will be on the bedside table, please feel free to come and go as you like. Our philosophy as hosts is to be contactable at all times whether we are in or out but also to ensure we remain low key and not intrusive - the opposite of 'big tourism'. In days gone by CreagMhor was a small hamlet known as Badcaul, 'hazel clump' in Gaelic, presently however there are only two remaining houses both occupied by one extended family. Both properties have been refurbished from ruins to a high standard keeping their original 1850's crofting design visible. As we are situated 0.7 mile from the main road up a very steep track a car is a must although there are good public bus links from Balnain and Drumnadrochit to Inverness and beyond. Loch Ness is 4 miles away and Inverness, the capital at the head of the great glen, is 30 minutes drive approx 20 miles.
