Romantic stone and wooden apartment near Maggia

Our ancestors' house is located in Coglio (Maggia Valley), at 20 min. drive from Locarno (Lake Maggiore). At walking distance: 2 typical restaurants, the river bank where you can bathe, a playground (in front of the village church), a bus stop and few (free) parking places. The apartment (1st floor) is cosy, with wooden ceilings, an open fireplace. Private garden with stone table just across the village road (7 m). Ideal for nature lovers. Tourist tax (CHF 2 p.person per day) to be paid on site. Flat on the first floor of a house with two flats in total. You go up a few steps, you find yourself on the loggia with two armchairs and a small table. The bathroom is adjacent to the loggia, not inside the flat. You then enter the kitchen-dining room, move on to the double bedroom and then the twin bedroom. Ceilings with wooden beams. Across the road: large private garden with stone table and barbecue. This is our family home, dating from 1822! I live in the Locarno area, 20 minutes drive from Coglio. This means that I am easily reacheable in case of need. Coglio is a nice and quite village, with few inhabitants, a church, some fountains, some stable with, if you are luck some goats or donkeys. In front of the house there is a playground with a ping pong table. in the next village (Giumaglio) a bigger playground. The two restaurants are a typical "grotto" (Grotto Lafranchi) and an eco-bio restaurant with local products (Eco Hotel and Restaurant Cristallina). Both are at walking distance from our house. The access to the bathroom is from the loggia but this has never been an issue for anybody. You can have your shower with wide open windows!
