Guests staying in the rear apartment will park on the right in the carport closest to the wall of cupboards. There is ONE VEHICLE only permitted for the guests staying in the home and ONE VEHICLE only permitted for the Studio guests. Second vehicles must be parked on the street not on the lawn or behind your other vehicle or in the driveway of the property. Parking on the street is free *This property is unsuitable for camper van and motor homes. If these vehicles are your transportation they must be parked on the street (free parking) and are not permitted to be driven into the property. The heavy weight of these vehicles will cause the driveway seal in the yard to crack *The house and apartment share the security gate to access the property from the street and share the covered car park spaces. The bus stop to Westfield Riccarton Mall and Sumner Beach is less than 5 mins walk and will take approx. 15 mins. to Riccarton and 45mins to Sumner Beach . Sumner Beach is popular with tourists * Spitfire Shopping Centre at the airport has several restaurants, McDonalds, a pharmacy, Souvenir shop and a supermarket. The Avonhead Mall is 3 mins drive, 15-20 min walk and has a supermarket, hair salon, gift store, florist, bookstore, cafe and bakery and is on the bus route to Westfield Mall in Riccarton * Jellie Park skateboard park, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, water slide and fitness complex 5 mins drive * Our bus service is in front of my home. The No. 29 bus from the airport will take 5 minutes and stops in front of my fence * Driving in the city is easy, there are designated parking areas and street parking metres. Hagley Park has a large free parking area adjacent to the Botanical Gardens. Cycling is popular in Christchurch and near my home there is a cycle path that takes you right into the city without needing to cycle on the roads Access is by code on the street keypad for the electric gate and there is a keybox for the front door key (situated on the right beside the front door. This enables you to arrive at the property any time after 3pm or in the middle of the night without the need to arrange to meet up. The security gate and keybox code will be sent to you before noon on the day of your arrival If there are MORE than 7 paying guests, by prior arrangement we can provide a portable single bed and bedding to be used in the living room. There is an additional charge of $45 for the extra guest.
