Large studio room close to EMA and Donington Park

Welcome to my bright and airy studio with ensuite, kitchenette and small living space, within walking distance of East Midlands airport and close to Donington Park. Perfect for holidaymakers and airline staff, you'll have a separate entrance and off-road parking. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged. Buses run regularly through the village linking the airport to Loughborough, Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. Local ales and pub grub available a few minutes down the road. This is a large self-contained room on the first floor of my cottage. Entrance involves a short walk through the garden along a slightly higgledy path, through a side door to the house and up one flight of stairs. The side entrance is occasionally used by us but allows you to reach your room without having to walk through the main living spaces of our home. We also have a small dog on the property :) The room comprises a double bed with ensuite shower and a small living space with dining table/desk and chairs, fitted wardrobe with full length mirror and a TV. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, sink, kettle and toaster plus crockery, cutlery and other kitchen essentials. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper are complementary and continental breakfast can be arranged at your request. Fresh bedding and towels are provided. You're also welcome to use the washer and dryer in the main part of the house. There is private parking on our drive for multiple cars. Please let me know if you'd like to leave your car here (at your own risk) while you holiday, for which there would be a small fee. I'm also happy to pick-up and drop-off at the airport, if arranged in advance. Since you would be sharing our family home, we ask that noise is kept to a minimum during the evenings and mornings, as some of us have early starts. I'm very accommodating so anything extra, just ask! I'm around most days and am happy to help with any questions or problems you might have. If you're interested in longer term stays of up to 31 nights, for example while training at the airport, an automatic discount of 11% will be applied for bookings between 7 and 27 nights, and 40% for bookings over 28 nights. If you require an even longer stay, please contact me and I'd be happy to discuss a competitive rate. Diseworth is a small farming village on the edge of the National Forest. Interesting fact: William Lilly, the famous astrologer was born here! We're very close to East Midlands airport - if you're feeling energetic, you can actually walk the 1 mile in about 20 minutes :) alternatively, buses run to the airport 2 times an hour from around 4.30am to 7pm from a stop in the village, about 5 minutes' walk from the house. Bus timetables and local taxi contact details will be available in the room. Buses also run towards Donington Park, Loughborough, Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. The nearest shops, chemist, supermarket etc are located in Castle Donington, about a 10 minute drive away or a short bus ride. There is a small village shop selling lots of essentials located in the next village, about a 5 minute drive away, as well as a large service station with M&S food, Costa Coffee etc at junction 23A, again about a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk from the house. There are also several local takeaways that deliver to our address, menus will be available in the room. If you're into walking, we're close to many beautiful National Forest locations and within driving distance of the Peak District National Park.
