The village of Wedmore boasts several pubs, restaurants and cafes. There is a local store selling fresh bread and cakes, a delicatessen, post office, chemist, hairdresser, butchers and fish mongers. Wedmore is well know for exclusive ladies and gent’s fashions and bridal outfitters. Wedmore Church is situated in the centre of the village with services every Sunday. There is a monthly Farmers market and antique fayre. Situated in the Cheddar Valley area famous for Cheddar Cheese, Strawberries and Cream and of course the Gorge and Caves. Within 10 miles to the Cathedral city of Wells, Glastonbury, Wookey Hole, Burnham on Sea, Weston Super Mare and close to several Nature reserves on the levels and Mendip Hills. Ideal for keen walkers and visitors. Wedmore is a quiet village which is suitable and safe for walking. Own transport is recommended although there are buses that pass through the village.
