Self-Contained Room With Ensuite, Dorking
We offer a spacious self-contained unit with modern furnishings throughout and an ensuite shower room. It has all the basic necessities, including TV, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster. It is conveniently situated in a quiet residential road near Dorking town centre and just a short walk away from Dorking stations. Being on the North Downs Way in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Dorking offers fabulous cycling and walking opportunities in an area of stunning outstanding natural beauty. This is a self-contained unit adjacent to our family home, which is a studio-flat design and is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with off-road parking. It has an area with fridge, sink, microwave, kettle and toaster and also has a TV with FreeSat and DVD player. You are welcome to use the south-facing garden with decking area looking over Box Hill in the distance. It is fully furnished and includes clean and fresh linen, towels and kitchen equipment. Internet access and utilities included. Guests will be met on arrival and then you will be left to come and go as you wish. However, we live in the adjacent house, so just give us a knock on the door and we will be available should you require any help or information. With prior notice we would be happy to give lifts to stations, airports or local places of interests for walking trips etc. (minimal charges may be applied for trips to airports, discussed and agreed in advance). We live in a quiet cul-de-sac conveniently located about a five-minute walk away from Dorking town centre and a ten minute walk from Dorking mainline station. Dorking is a charming market town surrounded by beautiful countryside and has its own renowned vineyard with the accolade of being the largest vineyard in the UK offering award-winning wines. It offers a variety of tours as well as a lovely restaurant and café, and a shop to purchase a bottle or two of their finest wines. Dorking is popular with cyclists and walkers, being very close to Box Hill, Leith Hill and Ranmore, all of which were part of the London Olympics 2012 cycling route. There are a variety of National Trust properties and gardens a short distance away including Leith Hill Place, Polesden Lacey and Winkworth Arboretum. We are literally a few minutes’ walk away from the award-winning “Red Bar & Lounge” which has being awarded Trip Advisers Certificate of Excellence and was voted the Number 1 restaurant in Dorking (they are renowned for their wonderful homemade burgers - definitely worth a try!) The bar is also well known for its selection of real ales, and has been acknowledged in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide. Dorking has three train stations offering good links both locally and nationally. It has direct routes to London Victoria and Waterloo, Guildford, Gatwick and Reading, to name just a few. We are close to the M25 (London orbital motorway), as well as the A24 which connects the South Coast to South London and the A25 taking you to Reigate or Guildford and beyond! Being an old market town, Dorking has a variety of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as several antique shops and a Friday Market. Bread, butter, jam, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and sugar are provided for you to enjoy at your convenience. A small collapsible table and chairs are provided in the room for you to sit at and enjoy your breakfast or evening take-away meal.
