Hut on the Hill

Hut on the hill is located in a small hamlet on the outskirts of Horsley. It is very peaceful and quiet. A beautiful base for walking, sightseeing or just generally relaxing in the Cotswolds! Our Shepherds Hut sits on top of the hill with outstanding views overlooking the Nailsworth Valley and beyond. The Shepherds hut sits in the corner of the field over looking the orchard. From the hut your open to lovely walks of the surrounding areas and only a 15 minute walk to the nearest pub and local shop which sell the famous Horsley Sausages - again great to have with your breakfast. The hut comes with a double electric hob, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is no oven in the hut. We also have an eco fridge which is a cool pot outside the hut big enough to keep the essentials cold for your breakfast. Parking is available for one car within a 10 metre walk from the hut. The hut is fully secured and has an electric heater if the Great British weather doesn't come up trumps for your stay. New for September 2020 LOG FIRED HOT TUB We now have a new wood fired hot tub for our guests to use during there stay. We provide 1 barrow full of logs per night, which will provide 1 evenings use. Extra logs / kindling and fire lighters can be provided at an extra cost of £10 During winter / Cold periods it may not be possible to use the hot tub. Please message close to your arrival to check. We will aim to be around whilst we have visitors staying in Hut on the Hill. We will certainly be contactable to deal with any questions or queries. We live over the road from the hut with our young children so we tend to be around. All the neighbours are very friendly and will also happily point you in the directions of the local "hot spots". The Hut on the Hill on situated near the Cotswold town of Nailsworth, a few miles drive from Stroud (with its famous farmers market) and a short commute to the Cotswold way and other attractions such as Badminton/Gatcombe horse trials, Cirencester and Westonbirt Arboretum. Nailsworth has an abundance of independent coffee shops and quirky treasure troves to pass your time. We have several chickens situated near the Shepherds hut. There are endless miles of walks around the area and the views are beautiful in all directions. You will not be able to get public transport to the Hut on the Hill unless you are prepared to walk the last few miles.
